2025 Mesquite (TX) Horn OL Lamont Rogers commits to Texas A&M
It is a banner day for Mike Elko and Texas A&M as one of the state’s finest and high-priority targets has announced his pledge to the Aggies.
2025 Mesquite (TX) Horn offensive tackle Lamont Rogers first emerged on college radars as a freshman and has firmly established himself as one of the nation’s top prospects.
At 6-foot-7 and 300 pounds, Rogers has been a mainstay at offensive tackle for the Jaguars. He is known for his light feet, flexibility and vicious mentality in the trenches. As a dual-sport athlete, he also shines on the basketball court, and his athleticism is quick to show on the field, whether it is in his pass set or getting downfield to pick up blocks.
Along with Elko, offensive line coach Adam Cushing and area recruiter Trooper Taylor quickly made Rogers a top target upon their arrival in College Station. Rogers is the Aggies’ 23rd commitment from the 2025 recruiting class and the seventh on the offensive line.
He flips to the Aggies from Missouri. He originally chose the Tigers over A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida State, LSU, SMU and Tennessee in early July, but the Aggies never stopped their pursuit. After multiple visits to Aggieland this fall, Rogers announced his A&M commitment.
He is currently ranked the No. 12 prospect in the TexAgs 2025 Texas Top 100.
