No, most just hate Cruz.
Why? Trump is way more polarizing than Ted Cruz or any political figure for that matter. It makes zero sense that someone would vote for Trump and his policies in which Ted Cruz aligns with nearly 100% but think yeah I'm going to split my ticket and vote for Allred.

Not saying you don't know people that did that, just sayin' those people are ******ed.

My opinion, from someone who has lived her for 23 years, the McCain machine hates her and will do anything to keep her out of office which means them voting D, which is what slimeball McStain was. So glad he's in the ground.

Yes. Too many of that dumb phenomena. Got one to change with the simple formula "Look, WH will be useless if he has to rule by EOs or too narrow a margin where has to give away too much. Give him Senators. We don't want another 2018-2020 where Pelosi and Schumer were able to ruin all from behind the scenes. Having a useful Congress is iimportant. You can throw him out at the next Dem President if you must, but vote for him now."

Regardless of your opinion of McCain insulting him and telling his supporters to go away was incredibly stupid.

No big money was going to bet on Lamb after Trump endorsed Lake last October.

Carrying out the will of the framers isn't dumb. Divided government is a very valid and rational desire. It nullifies the statist tendencies of either side.

Watching from afar it felt like Lamb was a great candidate and if he got through the primaries would have easily won the general.

I'm as Republican as there is.

But she's a moron and a horrible candidate. Republicans should know better than running an idiot in a swing state.

100% spot on. Also the entirety of her professional career amounts to reading queue cards, not exactly someone with the leadership experience you'd want in a governor or senator role. It's so clear that she just saw Trump's success as a grievance politician on the right and chose to become a Republican to take advantage of the same people and to try and get famous by riding Trump's coattails. Just look at all the money she's raised as a part of her "stop the steal" efforts that's somehow still ongoing.

It seems likely that Lamb would have won easily. Wish I could say the Arizona Republicans are smart enough to not run her again but they haven't exactly shown any awareness of just how toxic she is to all democrats and a significant portion of republicans and independents.

She was raised catholic, then went Buddhist, and now claims to be an evangelical Christian.

She was a republican. Then an independent. Then she was a democrat, convenientlyafter Obama in 2008. She donated to obama. She even supported John Kerry.

And she lost a defamation case and owes money to some dude for defaming him.

Clear to me she just goes along to get along attaching herself to whomever is going to advance her the most.

He is a dirt bag and plays up being an enlisted marine to no end. He sucked at the local and state level. His ex-wife is the mayor of Phoenix. I don't know where his money comes from but did hear a rumor his dad, he allegedly grew up fatherless, was a cartel lawyer. I never hear of cartel violence and never hear any gang activity reported on the news.

I agree it's stupid but there are people out there that genuinely believe the best path is an effective POTUS and a gridlocked Congress. In this election I wouldn't be surprised if a significant number of voters just couldn't stomach the idea of not knowing who's actually running the country, amplified by scary weak foreign policy and the border crisis, while at the same time not interested in the Republican legislative agenda.

My wife and my mom both have this theory that a lot of suburban moms voted Trump for security (border and foreign policy) and Allred for their women feels. Likewise in other states. Trump's numbers with women seem to support that.

I heard a reference a few days ago about " Soccer Grannies" reminiscent of the Reagan Soccer Moms who are now older but still want that security.

Right. And the amusing part is that is played against the goofy "sex strikes" or Julia Roberts telling women to lie to their husbands that they voted Trump. Seems more likely a lot of moms virtue signaled support for Harris but voted Trump.

Second, she went out of her way to insult Republicans and independents who weren't firmly in the MAGA wing, which is really stupid strategy.

The strategy of get on board MAGA or GTFO seemed to work pretty well across the board execpt in this race. Well, and except for Bob Casey.

Well it's not just my second item (MAGA or GTFO), it was my second + the first (likely fraud with no accomplishments whatsoever) that did her in. That is, even if you don't like Trump's insults, he's done a whole hell of a lot over his life. Kari has never done anything of note. She read the news for 30 years and that's it.

It's questionable whether she can could even do the job, so insulting people whose votes she needs while simultaneously trying to convince them that she's competent was freaking amateur hour.

Good riddance to her.

Didn't watch her debate with Gallego, nor any of her speeches to say that with a straight face. She's not only a quick study, she goes in depth on issues.

Gallego? Not so much. he just does what he is told to do. Not a thinker.

As for Lake, she'd be good as a Commissioner on the FCC, I think. Give her enough of heads up in advance she'll cram to impress during confirmation hearings. As a longtime newscaster, she understands the FCC issues.

Something is off in her election. About 38,000 ballots only voted for Senator. They didn't vote for any other candidate, including President? That needs to be addressed.
It was stolen. They can do this when they slow count and the margins are slim.

Not so much when they run someone like Kamala that get's schlonged bigly.
it was fascinating that there a large majority of red counties uncounted toward the end and the margin stayed right at 31k-33k - every single vote counted was 50/50 all the way to the end.

In Michigan it was 71k ballots for the Dem Senate candidate only (no other office with a vote). Kinda obvious, no?

The thing I don't get about Republicans is that they often put up subpar candidates, or at least fail to back the best person in the primaries.

Then when a less than perfect candidate gets to the general election, butt hurt Rs stay home and the Demoncrat wins.

I understand principles, but half a loaf is better than none. Why would you not vote for the person that votes your way 80% of the time, because you want 100% ?

Thus you end up with someone who votes for your interests 2% of the time

Don't understand the AZ Republican/McCain enthusiast. His family isn't in politics but it looks like they live off his reputation. Yet, when we have a red wave these McCain republicans want to stomp their feet and vote for someone who will never vote for anything they want. Especially on the border.

I didn't watch her debate, but respectfully, I think you're way off base as she was running to be a US senator, not to provide a decent showing in a debate. I don't think we should elevate to party leadership somebody who has never done anything of note beyond read local news. I want to pick somebody with real experience and knowledge who's proven that he or she is up to the challenge. That ain't Lake.

I have no doubt Gallego is a clown.

I think one thing that hurt her with Independents is her strong stance against any abortions period. And, there is a boatload of Independents in Arizona. Almost as many Independents as R's and D's...

She also did at one point say she doesn't need McCain voters. Not sure if that hurt really bad, but might have turned off some of the never Trumper Rhinos here...

She has whined for the last 2 years, and been in lawsuit after lawsuit over the Governor election being stolen..She didn't really accomplish anything with that, and people moved on but she kept harping on it losing support. And, the guy that runs the elections here really hates her. Would have no doubt that guy would hose her given any chance. He also refused to clean the voter rolls before the 2024 election..
