I think it is really dangerous to behave like this to children. We know that today's kids are sensitive, and they trust their parents as a behavioral and thinking model about how to process serious topics. This goes both ways as it is also not sporting to gloat.
Providing perspective is crucial since kids live in the moment and there will be a new president in 4 years. This is how you influence kids into depression.

Raising a child is not easy. There are a lot of unknowns in starting a family. Maintaining a relationship takes work. Having a family requires sacrifice. A lot of sacrifice.
But rather than admit to personal failures in finding, beginning, and maintaining a stable relationship and then having the responsibility of raising children for nearly two decades, these foolish, ignorant narcissists can broadcast to the world that they are not going to have a child because of who was elected President - and be applauded for it.
