The one common theme I've noticed in a lot of these meltdown videos is:

"I'm leaving this social media platform"
Or
"If you voted for Trump, unfollow me/I'm blocking you"

And that's the problem with these people. Their whole lives are social media. Removing someone from their lives isn't "I'm not going to answer your calls/texts/invites to go to dinner"…it's blocking/unfollowing - They don't get out or go talk to their neighbors or others in their communities. They work from home, isolated from others. They live in these social media echo chambers and think that what the algorithm feeds them is what the whole world believes.

And then when something like last night happens, they're shocked. Because all they've heard for the last 4 years are their own thoughts repeated back to them.

It's sad, actually. But very entertaining.

I'm shocked he won, especially to that extent but Jeez, Trump is American and loves this country. I'm staying on Twitter and all of my other social media.

A lawyer I know who was wearing his "donkey tie" at home last night is despondent and bleeding all over Facebook. A citizen doctor friend of Indian heritage texted me at 6 a.m. to prepare powers of attorney and talking about moving to Canada.

I have TDS but not that bad.
