Exactly. People get so wrapped up each election in the individual candidates that they ignore the reality that for 95% of the people it's all about party loyalty and branding. And by and large for many decades the media and all of pop culture and academia has successfully branded both parties; Republicans are greedy racists and Democrats "care" about people. That's hard to overcome. But add to it in recent years the most demonized candidate in history and I just don't think most people can or will get past that. Truth matters a lot less than perception.

I'm pro trump but this lady has no clue what she is talking about. Those two bets she is referring to total only $52k. That might be enough to move the poly market bet one percent or so but it's such a small fraction of the overall bet there and not the cause of Trump going from 66% to 54% in a couple days. For reference, The French guy that invested over 15million a few weeks ago drove the price up a lot for Trump. But $50k isn't moving the needle much. Also $50k bet isn't going to cause PredictiIT, Bovada, and all the other sites to dramatically lower the Trump odds. So don't believe everything you read on twitter.

I thought for a while that Trump would win somewhat comfortably, but I honestly don't know now. It seems like a toss up.

I keep thinking if we had any other candidate running against Harris, they would win by a landslide. The average person that isn't in the MAGA camp simply detests the man. It's similar to Ted Cruz. It's always a closer race than it should because most Republican or Moderate Texans just don't like the guy but hold their nose and vote because they have to.

It's true though. The most popular response by a large margin from Dems voting for Harris is "she's not Trump." A small minority actually cite any of her policies as their reason for supporting her.

I'm not confident at all that Trump will win. I'm very confident that regardless of who is in the White House, God will be on His throne. That's where I'm putting my faith.

Go back and see what I was replying to. The poster accused a poster of confirmation bias because of the poll he referenced. I was saying that the most accurate poll confirmed his belief so it wasn't only one poll.

I have no idea who wins and don't believe the Iowa poll anymore than I believe atlas that shows trump winning. Both are probably really flawed. At least NYT admits why they may be completely wrong.
