I was working in downtown DC in 2016 on Connecticut Ave. The day after the election was glorious. Tears in the streets.

The day of the inauguration was almost as good.

Ahhhhh, the glory days. Coming Back!!!
We may not always get what we want. We may not always get what we need. Just so we don't get what we deserve.

We had a white lady go absolutely crazy in our office following Trump's first victory. Her peronality completely changed. The morning after he won, I heard her in the breakroom talking to a filipino-American long time coworker and she literally said "I am terrified, but I can't imagine how terrifying this must be for you" (I realize that sounds made up, but it's not...on my mother). Filipina coworker is a Christian family woman and didn't even know how to respond and I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing.

She went from being a happy, positive, team oriented individual to completely bitter and tough to work with. She got fired several months later, apparently after numerous behavior reports, as no one could get along with her anymore. My first glimpse of TDS, long before that was even a known "thing".
This literally happened to me the day after Trump got elected. White liberal coworker crying in my office and telling me it must be terrifying for me (Im Hispanic) knowing Trump is going to round up me and my family and put us in concentration camps lol. Libs are nuts.

And now she's the terror of her neighborhood HOA

That woman handled it beautifully. LOL. Just staying calm and not rising to their bait sends them into a raging fit.

It is crazy how predictably crazy liberals have become.

The other day Kimmel apparently said he wasn't mentally ready for a Trump win and needed to prepare to cope. When Kamala was finally announced as the chosen one, I saw an interview with Kumail Nanjiani (actor). He said he'd been so depressed lately and the world felt brighter now that Kamala was there and not Biden.

PEW gave credibility to what we've known for a while - liberals are mentally ill.

Have a friend that was called into HR over his conservative posts on FB.

A coworker saw his post and it made her feel uncomfortable.

He works at a hospital in Dallas!

Similar story for me. I flew out to Los Angeles for work the day after the election and had an Uber driver who was almost in tears about "what would happen to our country." Just the tip of the iceberg for what would be a great trip with a **** eating grin on my face the entire time.

Wow I cant imagine the hell of working so many libtards at an SV based tech company. I'd be fired within a week. I worked in tech for 30 years but thank God most of that was as my own boss.
The only real way to be successful is to spend as little time in the office as possible.
Free drinks, Free coffee, Free food, only has so much value.

Not being subjected to liberal groupthink is well worth it to buy my own lunch and drinks, etc.

I made 64 business trips to the Bay Area between 1998-2020 but I haven't been since the world stopped in March 2020 and Kalifornia got locked down. In fact, my employer started holding meetings in places like Denver, Las Vegas, New Orleans rather than bringing people into our Bay Area HQ office.

The changes in the demographics of the Bay Area have been interesting to watch. The tech workers are predominantly Indian now.

Radio may be a bad example of the change but it's probably been a decade ago now that 92.3 "The Rock" KSJO that I'd been listening to since my first trip in 1998, turned in to Hot Bollywood Hits.

In fairness, I was in Dallas / The Colony / Frisco a couple weeks ago and that place is all Indian now too. Even Dallas has a Bollywood radio station. I was interested to try out the Indian Fast Food options from a chain called "Desi Bites" but I decided to have a steak instead.

Learned that one long ago.

When I worked for the State of Texas in the mid-1990s, the only full day training we got was sexual harassment.

Funnily enough the only sexual harassment I ever received at that job was from a gay dude (an Aggie Wrangler no less).

That scenario wasn't covered in the course.
OK, we have GOT to hear that story!
Here goes. Time period - 1994 to 1997

Worked in the same office building as my wife for a couple years. Got to meet her co-workers and a lot of times we'd go out to lunch on Fridays, etc. We were all in our 20s and most of us were enjoying living in Austin and would go out to restaurants, bars, drink special nights, etc. We all had decent paying jobs so we could afford to make a few trips to 6th Street or Baby A's, etc.

Most of us young folks had gone to either A&M or t.u. And we had a good amount of time to visit with each other in a building that still had individual hard walled offices with guest chairs, etc. Since many of us were Aggies, we obviously had lots in common regarding what we did on campus, etc.

So this one dude had an earring (nothing by today's standards but still uncommon for a male in Texas 30 years ago) and he also had a small rainbow flag in his office. I'm talking the size of a business card. Nothing like what you see today.

This guy had grown up outside of College Station and had been an Aggie Wrangler. In fact, we had a colleague who attended A&M Consolidated with him and reported that he always had the best looking dates in HS.

At this point, I'm less than a decade out of growing up in Saudi Arabia and of course fresh out of A&M, Corps, Aggie Band, US Army Armor School, etc. I had virtually zero gaydar at that point. That was something I developed pretty effectively during 7 years of living in Austin.

So as time goes by, I figure out that this guy is gay. But my wife doesn't believe it. No, he's just a nice guy. It's the 1990s so things weren't anything like they are today. This was still unusual.

One day, we're coming back from lunch and our offices were on the 2nd Floor. The building elevator is really slow and there's always a line but, since it's only one floor, there's a staircase near the building entrance so it's faster to just walk up the stairs.

Dude is walking in front of us and grabs the door to the stairs and holds it open. I walk through and my wife is right behind me. After I walk past the guy steps in front of her and says something to the effect of "Oh, I'm going to enjoy this" and he walks up the stairs behind me and my wife follows him up the stairs.

Later, she tells me, I think you're right. I think he is gay because he really enjoyed staring at your ass while you were walking up the stairs.

I'd see the guy out at bars, usually for Texas A&M Club Happy Hours and he'd always come up from behind and put his arm around me, over my shoulder and give me a big hug and then leave his arm there for a really long time while asking where my wife was, etc.

The funny thing was that he knew that I knew what was up even though we never spoke about it in words. He also knew that I wasn't going to kick his ass or anything so he kept doing it. Anyway, so that's my personal sexual harassment story from that job.

We really shouldn't have anything to worry about, should we?

Everyone knows, as has been repeated over and over again by the POTUS, VPOTUS, Def Sec, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and all of the democrat and big government pravda media arm, that the greatest risk we face is right wing extremists.

So then shouldn't we take solace knowing that the ultra violent threat of right wingers already attempted and failed an insurrection four years ago?

If our greatest threat was easily squashed after their insurrection that included zero shots fired and zero police or government employees or officials killed by them, then we should have nothing to worry about if left wingers, who supposedly aren't a threat or a risk because they're so gentle and compassionate and tolerant, loses, should we?

My liberal company sent out a Social Media use update. We are not permitted to use SM from any work resource and we are not to post to SM during work hours. Doing so could be grounds for termination, unless authorized by the company, unless it is work related.

If a co-worker reports you, you are required to provide account access. That includes "anonymous" postings. We are also no longer to disclose any work condition information.

I thought maybe it was just an impending RIF.

Just had an epiphany while reading this thread. My company recently banned employees from using social media at work until further notice with no explanation. Now I'm starting to think that it's because of the upcoming election and they are trying to dissuade political discussions. We'll see what happens after the election!

yesterday I was up in Gettysburg picking up more Trump signs and had some in the rear window and stickers on the side windows (on the inside so I take them down every time I park in Maryland)

anyway, I turn right onto Baltimore Avenue and can see a young chick zooming up in her kind of crappy SUV to the point she nearly ran into the rear of my car. obviously a Gettysburg College leftist.

we have the obligatory flip you off, then she tries to pass me on the left in the opposing lane. I think she didn't understand that a 2022 BMW is going to accelerate faster than a 2000s American SUV.

she did realize right before she plowed into an oncoming car.

Received a message today regarding the need to create a safe space to facilitate healthy conversations to help employees deal with their emotions after the election.

Even Bay Area employers know Trump is coming back and are preparing for the post election freakout.

2016 obviously caught people off guard and Bay Area folks were thrilled with the 2020 outcome. Although they would have liked for Covid to last a little longer.

The fact that they're already figuring out how to cope after the election means they don't believe it's going to go their way.

Keeping my fingers crossed.
Can you send me a copy of this? Would love to send something similar out to my team.

As a joke. We have good company culture.

HR has classed this topic under "Belonging" in their DEIB efforts.

There must be a website out there somewhere showing crazy communications from Bay Area companies.

I think we are going to see the Silicon Valley numbers for Trump increase substantially over 2020. My son-in-law works there. Tried to warn and convince him in 2020 but he went Biden. He sent me a photo of his 2024 ballot with Trump marked and only saying "You win." My reply, "No, America will win."

He told me many of his colleagues and friends in SV have flipped this time. They may be liberal but many in SV are capitalists first and foremost.
