Why isn't more made about Kamala failing the bar?

That, to me, is pretty important. The first time bar passage rate in California around the time that Kamala took it was well over 60%. I'm not saying you can't go on to have a successful legal career, but if you fail the bar, I'm sorry, that should disqualify you from holding the Presidency.

Out of curiosity, I looked up some other first time failers. You'll notice a pattern….

Vice President Kamala Harris (a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of Law) failed the California bar exam on her first try.

The Former First Lady Michelle Obama (a graduate of Harvard Law School) failed the Illinois bar exam on her first try.

Secretary of State and past Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton failed the DC bar exam the first time she took it. She passed the Arkansas bar after that.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt failed the New York bar exam on his first try after attending Harvard College and Columbia Law School . . . and he was subsequently elected President four times!

John F. Kennedy, Jr. failed the New York bar exam twice before passing it on his third try.

Several Governors have failed the bar.

Two-time governor of California, Jerry Brown, also failed the bar exam.

Several Mayors have failed the bar exam (some more than once!), including New York mayor, Ed Koch; Chicago Mayor, Richard Daley, and Los Angeles Mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa.

Because the bar is racist and patriarchal. It is white supremacy!

This is exactly correct. The California bar isn't any harder than the Texas bar, by the way. They're just lest restrictive on who takes it.

It's a massive indictment of her intelligence. I'm a lawyer. If you fail the bar, you're either lazy or stupid.

Maybe her mouth and neck were sore when she took it the first time and she couldn't concentrate. Seriously there are almost limitless valid reasons to criticize the cackling moron. This isn't in the top 30

No one is going to make an issue of her having to take the bar multiple times. Our current duly elected President was at the bottom of his class and openly lies about that. No one cares

OP claims to care about 1st time bar failure of Harris, then goes on to list all the successful and/or smart people that failed their first attempt. Pathetic troll job.

Use it all. She is a lightweight non-entity thrust into a nomination for President she could never win on her own accord.

Failing the bar. ****ing her way to the top. Flailing at any job she is given as Vice President.

She is beneath the bell curve, lower than the lowest common denominator.

In short, she is the perfect Democrat Party candidate to those running the Plantation who wish to rule from behind closed doors.

Her many failures and ridiculous policy positions should be brought up as often as possible.

She is the Idiocracy candidate. Even President Camacho would run circles around Kamala in an intelligence test.

I haven't looked into it in detail, but it is my understanding that the bar exam hurdle has been greatly relaxed in recent years. Texas adopted the UBE. As of December 1, 2019, failing a Texas Bar Exam is no longer a barrier to being eligible for Admission Without Examination. Some states don't even require passage to become licensed anymore. Maybe someone more in in the know can speak to this.

For the same reason no one other than Tucker Carlson was talking about Justice Jackson's LSAT scores.

It doesn't matter.

Once you pass, you pass. You're licensed. It's done. Most employers don't even ask about that, and if they do, it's within the first year or two out of school. After that, no one cares.

If anything, all those examples of high profile people failing the bar exam should be stories of inspiration, that you can still achieve great things after failure.

It's not, but it's just an entrance exam that tests how well you can cram an incredible amount of information and perform under pressure. It in no way measures one's ability to practice law.

For example, no lawyer would ever write a brief in under an hour, without doing legal research. That would be malpractice.

Kamala just needs to be attacked on policy. She will show her ineptitude in her response to the attacks. Attacking her personality will just make people support her more.

Failing the Bar exam and low LSAT scores stem from the same root cause. You are either low iq or have test anxiety. Possibly a bit of both.

It does matter. She wasn't qualified for the law school she attended. She was admitted because she's black. It shows glaringly in her opinions.

We get it. You don't give a **** about merit.

I agree that there are more important issues to hit her with. But I passed the bar on my first try and really did not think it was nearly as hard as I had expected. To get through law school and pass the bar, one needs to be smart or work very hard. One does not need both just to get through it all.

have you taken either exam? because the only thing you're slightly right about is having test anxiety, which can have an effect. But to equate those exams with IQ tests is nonsense.

Not really. because she still had to get through Harvard, graduate, pass the bar, and then have a successful legal career. The LSAT is just a dumb test college kids take on a Saturday morning that is a gatekeeper to law school.

Also, as we all know, passing the bar isn't a prerequisite to being president, let alone any politician. In fact, we should have more non lawyers in politics.

Bull**** it doesn't.

I've practiced law for 17 years and have been very successful at it. Your ability to spot issues and adapt to nuance when consulting with a new client are extremely important, as well as your ability to cram a ton of knowledge fast in order to be able to adapt to facts that weren't what you anticipated. You have no idea what you're talking about.

you are as always full of cr@p

the LSAT and the Bar Exam are EXCELLENT predictors of both success in law school and success as a practicing attorney.

168 LSAT. attended George Washington Law School. Passed Maryland Bar on first attempt.

then someone as smart as you should know better than to make statements correlating bar exam performance to IQ, or thinking in any way that performance on that exam 30+ years ago qualifies (or disqualifies) anyone to hold office.

there are many, many reasons to criticize Kamala Harris. this isn't one of them.
