Wherever Harris is in the polls, it's likely close to the high water mark (she might get a bit of a bump at the convention, but it will be short lived). She has massive negatives with the public. When she ran for the nomination even the dems didn't like her.

Right now she is new and relatively unknown because the party and the press have kept he significantly out of the spotlight. It will not take too long before the reasons they did so become all too apparent.

Frankly, given how much time there still is between now and the convention, it is entirely likely she isn't the nominee at the end of the process.

The one thing that could help her is if Trump were to start name calling her treating her in a manner that offends a lot of the middle. There is still a large streak of old fashioned deference to women in this country. Like it or not (and feminism be damned) it won't play well with a lot of people if he is perceived as being "mean" to her, which is why Tulsi Gabbard's takedown of here was so effective; female on female violence is acceptable.

Harris will need to win midwestern whites like Biden could. She can't. She's simply too unlikeable to them.
