Well yesterday, during a Tenacious D show in Australia, he presented his band mate Kyle Gass with a birthday cake and asked him to make a wish. Gass's response was vile: "Don't miss Trump next time".

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Is he in full damage control mode or he legit pissed at KG? I hate his politics but he's always seemed likeable enough to me. I hope he's being earnest and parts ways with his despicable partner.

When I saw the clip, it looked like he backed up a few feet after it was said. To me, the fact that the remainder of the tour was cancelled is telling.

At least he apologized and acknowledged the wrong-doing, unlike that big giant baby who used to be a volunteer fireman.

My thought is that he is distancing himself from KG, but I've seen a lot of TD shows and a lot of their on stage banter is off the cuff, so I wouldn't be surprised if he had no idea KG would say that.

Yeah, the response here is consistent with someone that wasn't ok with it. I had my doubts originally that he would take issue with it but maybe I was wrong.

I don't really see a reason to **** on Jack Black over this. I have no doubt he is a raging liberal, but he didn't say it and condemned it and canceled his tour over it. Obviously he wasn't expecting it to be said, didn't want it to be said, and did not go along with it or indulge it when it was said. Honestly it seems like canceling the rest of his tour was going a little far, but if he takes it that seriously, good for him.

He has been working with Tenacious D for years. I'm sure that he knows, and agrees, with his politics. Black wasn't 'blindsided' by what Glass said. He was surprised by the number of his customers who didn't agree with it.

He is an insane liberal, and therefore, a liar. Don't be sucked in to his earnest apology act. He just wants you to stop being pissed off and buy his stuff.

You'd REALLY think some of these entertainers would realize that they should REALLY keep their politics to themselves.

But when someone has a soul that is so ultimately dark and corrupted that they truly wish an assassins' bullet hit it's mark, they're too far gone.

The part that speaks loudest to me is "all future plans are on hold."

To me, it's indicative that he and his band mate/best friend talk like this behind the scenes. You can't convince me they don't. It would be like your best friend yelling out "n-er" in a crowd and you acting shocked like you've never heard or engaged in that type of language before.
