Ok I'll prove you wrong. If she was shielding, why not stand up to increase the chances of blocking a bullet? Why did she crouch down if she was trying to stop a bullet.

Nothing against the gal, not her fault. She wasn't qualified for this role, most people would not be qualified for this detail. I'm too short, never should have been considered for this role, if I applied. In addition, she's clearly unqualified as she's not in decent shape. What if several agents were hit and one or 2 had to carry the president to a car. She clearly would not be able to perform...again...not her fault.

The point here isn't bagging on the girl but rather an indictment of the powers of secret service that selected some of these people for these roles.

And here is the rail in that photo, left of stage. The rail is basically between him in the shooter. She is behind Trump from the main audience, and to Trump's left relative to the shooter

How? The huge graph Trump was looking at and pointing towards was northeast of the stage/podium. The shooter was on a slightly more northerly line. I don't have a photo of the actual layout but the huge graph was on a screen at the back of the northern most set of bleachers.

The shooter is behind the person taking the photo.
Think about it. Focus on your spatial awareness.
For the shooter to be behind her, the picture would have to be from in front of the stage. That picture is not from in front of the stage. Her back is to the 3 barns behind the stage. The railing is from the stairs on that side and you can see the video board on the other side. That picture is looking across the stage from left to right. That puts the shooter roughly behind the photographer.

I'm using basic photos to show you where she is relative to him that a monkey could follow. If you want to show where she went next, feel free. But in that shot, directly back to front stage-wise, it's her then Trump then podium then main crowd, with the shooter behind the photographer. She's left of Trump from the shooter's line of sight. Period.

Right. A different woman nutted up to protect him. Supposed AIC is still several feet away, behind Trump relative to the main audience, and also still left of the shooter's line of sight.

To be shielding Trump from the shooter, she would need to be near the red circle. She isn't in the red circle because she is behind the podium, between Trump and the 3 barns behind him. He was thanking the other agent.

What difference does that make to this argument? Without constructing a time machine and taking you there to actually witness what happened, I have no clue how to show you that you are just plain wrong in this instance.

You are all making the error of assuming that she is supposed to be one of the "body men" whose job it is to put their bodies between Trump and any perceived threat. If she was indeed the SAC, that would not have been her designated role on the detail. I am not making an argument for or against her competence, just pointing out that endlessly arguing over where she was positioned is irrelevant if it was not her designated job to put her body between the shooter and Trump.

No one is arguing that she didn't reposition herself at some point to the North of Trump. But, in this picture she is clearly NOT protecting him.

The argument is over what she actually did. If she wasn't supposed to be a "body man" that is fine, but we have a poster claiming she was between the shooter and Trump, when she absolutely was not.

This gal did nut up. I will point out that a lack of height again exposed the president to an un-obstructed head shot. Not her fault either. Wrong person for the job.

This has gotten comical

This photo was taken from directly behind the stage facing west into the glare of the sun, the shots came from the north with a southern trajectory.

Note the backside of the AIC lower than anyone on stage including Trump cowering behind the pig pile on top of Trump

bullets whizzing by that sound like giant mosquitos. she hung in there. She was in over her head. what else is there to say about this episode? She deserves criticism for the planning and a demotion, and the person who gave her the responsibility deserves to be investigated and sacked.

Seems like this trend of outfitting everybody like they out of a Marvel movie works to our detriment. Don't need a bunch of people walking around like they an action-movie star. Seems like it breeds contempt. Inflated and false sense of superiority. Dress like mall-ninja is fine for officer presence until at 20 y/o kid knocks you out in shorts and a t-shirt.

Sorry, but this picture proves you wrong. It's ok. The admirable thing to do is to just admit it...tough for a lot of people. But an honorable and noble trait.
