Did the bullet that killed Crooks penetrate into the metal roof, and are there any more bullet holes in the roof?

Facilities should send somebody up to check that out with a can of flex-seal. They already got a big PR problem. Don't need water damaged equipment on top of that.

So either typical government incompetence or willful disregard for Trumps security bc they don't care if something bad happens. Probably a lot of both.

I think it's difficult to conclude anything based on permanently closed windows in the adjacent structure. Typically, especially in a warehouse style steel metal building used for manufacturing, if those windows are sealed, I think it's unlikely there is even an office at that level. Fire codes usually require two ways out from an upstairs fire and there are codes around windows etc. for that.

They may have just been there for (interior) light, is my point. I think it's improbable cops were watching Crooks from those windows and just muttering 'shucks, wish we could open this window to take action.'

shooter was on the right end of that building, not the left. Therefore, the windows were not directly behind him. the shooting angle in this diagram is completely wrong.

yeah, it's difficult to conclude. we'll never know anything for sure except there was a kid on the roof with a gun and now he's dead. so, back to the kid's phone, and his possible connection w iran.

Is that a roof access door, below the green x, from the 2nd floor of that building where the LE are supposed to be? If it is and they're there and hear reports of someone on that roof they could have gone out that and easily seen the shooter.

A zipline from the water tower to the ground? That would be impressive. Did he stop and gather it up (lots of time involved) or leave it?

I realize that the SS detail did its job after the shot(s) were fired, that the DHS/etc sent some under/unqualified people to act in the place of SS, and that a lot of the security was pushed off on local and state personnel that led to the fiasco we all saw on Saturday.

What I don't understand is with this obvious lack of security, why in the hell did the SS on the ground not put their foot down and either stop the event from going forward (I can imagine Trump would have thrown a **** fit), demanded a greater armed presence before continuing or call SS HQ and get them to send more agents before the speakers began. This situation is basically the same as the Rangers/Astros showing up for a weekend series and only the infielders flight got there in time so they hit up the local colleges, HS teams, travel ball clubs and rec leagues to fill out the rest of the roster for the game. It is doubtful Trump would have let them cancel the event, but if a half dozen or more kitted out commandos can rush the stage shortly after Trump and the others were hit, it seems logical that a few squads of active or reserve duty military guys could could have been set up at the fences and that in and around the unsecured buildings.

IMO this is more than just a security/intelligence failure it was willful disregard for the safety of Trump.

There is no possible way that water tower was left unsecured.

If the water tower was in fact left unsecured then it simply confirms what we already know.

There is no way someone zip lines down that tower without being seen. Where did the zipline/hardware go? That would be a lot of stuff to gather up and carry...and there would be attachment hardware left behind.

And that was not the Asst. FBI director behind Trump. That's been disproven.

The perfectly placed head shot did not "miss". Trump just turned his head at the perfect time. It would have gone straight through the brain if not for that.

That being said, the water tower/zip line thing, being presented as fact up above, seems almost impossible.

FBI lady DOES appear to have a similar left cheek mole that is covered by makeup if you zoom in tbh...but I agree it is not her. The lady in the crowd, while engaging in a very unusually calm and calculated response given the circumstances, is a COUG.

You are correct, the shot did not miss. Playing devil's advocate here, the shooter on the tower could have slide down a rope ala Ocean's Eleven and escaped on foot. Regarding someone finding the rope, I highly doubt they would encourage reporting the rope, who would even report finding it?. That would lead to more questions and more incompetence following the revelation that they all let some 20 year old wander around.

She ain't testifying on the 22nd. She has a beach day planned.

Sending random augmentees from DHS and particularly the DEA as fill-ins certainly raises some questions.

Why?

Because DEA is under the DOJ along with the FBI. USSS is under the umbrella of DHS.

So you sending people in to help out with Trump's security that ain't even in the same umbrella agency as the USSS.

You can't prove that Dept. of Ag guy DIDN'T zipline down that tower into the getaway van driven by FBI director cougar. So it's still plausible.
