There are very few high schoolers that even understand what conservatism or progressivism really means. Almost all will identify as whatever their parents are until perhaps, they get rebellious in their late teens and switch sides because they think they are expressing themselves or some other BS to either piss off their parents or earn points with some girl or boy they like or to get in with a crowd of kids that will accept them.

I guarantee you that the number of 17-year-olds making a substantive choice of a political ideology to follow is practically zero. The fact that he donated to ActBlue and democrats tells you all you need to know. It seems very, very plausible that his Republican registry was to vote in the primary for someone other than Trump.

In any case, whether he was a "conservative" anti-Trumper or a raging progressive, the simple fact of the matter is that he wanted to kill the Republican nominee for president and an alarming number of so-called American citizens wanted him to succeed. Most of the are democrats, but I'm sure there are some republicans in the mix too. TDS doesn't care about party delineations.
The best way to keep evil men from wielding great power is to not create great power in the first place.

there is another potential motive

he was a loser who was bullied constantly his adult life in high school

he wants to find "fame" or simply burn down the world

and kill himself and go out like so many of these school shooters

There is way too much video of the shooter getting into position, being pointed out, etc and blatantly ignored by "authorities"…

This was a planned hit by elements of our own government…

It's quite literally the only explanation…
So the government hired a 20 year old nobody to take out Trump? If your assertion is true, why wouldn't they hire someone they knew could hit him?

He was the only one that was willing to die over it?

Like Jimbo taking Petrino as his OC. When you are down to you 10th choice, you take what you can get.

Some of yall need to read up on MK Ultra…

Some have scoffed at it for decades…but it is real, and it is used to do things like the assassination attempt…

You can continue to scoff at such things…but there aren't as many "lone wolf" perpetrators out there as some might believe…

This was a classic MK Ultra op, and it was helped along by getting the right authorities to ignore the completely obvious vulnerability with regard to that particular rooftop…

The US has been involved in this stuff for many, many decades…

It's no conspiracy theory or tin foil hat nonsense anyone can come up with. It was two simple things.

1. Complacency!! They gotten too relaxed too use to just going through the motions. Not really taking their jobs seriously from a security perspective

2. Unpreparedness!' Inexperienced poorly trained and poorly staffed teams to handle the highest priority tasks. That starts at the absolute top. Same can be said for our armed forces. Our elite today aren't a pimple on the asses of our elite of yesteryear plain and simple. Our formal elite are now civilian contractors and our current elite government units are the semi pro elite so to speak.

Watch Dice's video that has that new footage that came out yesterday. That ARG build had cops all around it and cop cars all around it, and this doofus managed to crawl up on the roof with a suppressed DMPS AR14 and seen by everyone except the people who were being paid to pay attention. And why in the world was no one posted up on that building?

Complacent and Unprepared PERIOD

Jordan Peterson refers to DEI as the war against competence. Rather than selecting the best people or even well-qualified people to do the job, the DEI religions spreads termites into the woodwork of our institutions that make them so ineffective and slow that the shocking levels of incompetence lead to the conclusion that it was really a plan to poison the whole system and make it nonfunctional to bring about the end of the constitutional republic.

When nothing in the federal government works and all the power and authorities that should be reserved to the individual citizens and the states has been usurped by federal bureaucrats, it doesn't really matter whether it was by accident or intention. The planned death of competence is what we are witnessing.

Not that hard to believe. He hit the target and would have been fatal had he not turned head and leaned in.

There's been a new razor invented for the trump Era: Anything bad that happens to a conservative is the result of DNC or deep state dirty tricks, until proven otherwise.
Of course that is fueled by the fact that they were literally spying on him and we have plenty of documented evidence that government employees believed it was their job to "stop him." Once you can't trust the agencies that are supposed to be non-partisan and adhering to the Constitution, everything is on the table.

If anybody on here posted something along the lines of "it's time to put X in a bullseye," the post would be deleted and the poster would probably catch a ban.

Most social media sites terms and conditions do not allow users to make direct threats or even veiled threats for that matter.

Here we got a case of the chief of the executive branch and commander in chief of the US military calling for his political opponent to be "put in a bullseye" a few days before he's shot in the ear.

Novelists like Mark Geraney or Tom Clancy would never put something like this in one of their books because it's incredulous and would distract from the story.

Tv show writers would never put something like this in a script because it's over-the-top.

If you asked ChatGPT to write a script it wouldn't include someone making a direct threat because it's been programmed to not incite violence.

This single fact may be the most mind blowing thing we've ever witnessed.

And you get a sense that people discount it because it just a case of Biden being Biden. Which at the end of the day is the president of the US getting a free pass on making threats of violence against his opponent because he's a senile old man that's known to say just about anything and get away with it.

What we've seen play out shocks the conscience.

SS is completely incompetent and failed at their job

Or

Access to that roof should have been denied by personnel in place on it. Or line of sight to the stage should have been taken away by a barrier being in place between it and the stage, or both should have happened. The sheer simplicity of the required actions is so elementary it screams to me that it was intentional by someone in the chain somewhere.

I agree…think it's both…but he had assistance from key figures to exploit the vulnerability…. This was an op…it missed…

I expect all of the "cases" against Trump to quickly be dismissed and for the perpetrators to go into tack-covering mode…

Ds will surrender the Oval Office and refocus their efforts on trying to save seats down ballot…

They were out of options and took a huge gamble…it failed…

My theory is that Trump got the D team so all the important people could get protection.

Trump got left with the newbies and women and homeland security instead of a true SS detail.

How on earth 125-150 yards away on top of a building with a clear line of sight isn't in the security perimeter I have no idea.

I believe the loser got really lucky in his positioning.

I saw the tweet for that the other day, pretty sure it was further up on this thread with a community note attached to it, and don't think he ever actually posted it. The report was that he said it on a call. Doesn't it make it any less wrong but just pointing it out since that screenshot has been going around.

Not only that, but the closest elevated position (which was left completely unsecured) was also seemingly out of the LOS of the counter snipers. The entire setup of this makes zero sense.

Just to throw it out there…Fake assassination attempt orchestrated by Trump to rally more support and solidify presidency. Took a page from his ridiculous WWE appearances, his ear deliberately cut while on the ground ("blading") then allowed to do photo ops with his fist in the air with blood down his face. And in reality, he was never targeted. We only have Trump's word that a bullet struck his ear.

As I keep saying, QAnon broke the brains of many on the right.

Nothing will convince them it wasn't a conspiracy against Trump by the government.

A manifesto the kid mailed to a bunch of people could turn up, and they'd claim it was planted by the FBI. They always have a pivot when information comes out which doesn't fit their long ago preconceived beliefs.

Critical thinking is a thing of the past for most people in this country.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

I don't think the SS had anything to do with this outside of pure incompetence.

If this was something planned, someone inside of our government helped out. Not saying it was, just saying there are way too many coincidences for a normal person to not wonder if this was just by "chance". But hey, if it was, then it was a colossal failure by the agency responsible for the safety of our former president.

Do some of y'all still believe masks work, covid came from a pangolin, and the shot is safe, free, and effective? I'm not 100% tin foil hat wearer but wake up and smell the coffee…

So the FBI groomed a 20-year-old kid who was an average shooter to kill Trump? Yikes.

Did his parents know about the numerous meetings with the FBI? Did they pay him? He knew this would likely end in his death.
