What an idiotic implication you are trying to make. First of all, someone who snuck a gun into this rally probably wasn't carrying a rifle with a scope. More than likely a small pistol and it's very easy to miss with a pistol unless you're point blank.

Also in the video it looked like he was turning his head at the time it started too.

You know, Teddy Roosevelt was shot giving a speech once and I think it went into his notes or something in his pocket and he continued the speech.
