Yes, a family friend who I was mentoring called. She was very upset. Evidently a male came out as identifying as a female. Would not shower with males any more and went to female crapper. They were up in arms and lost one of their crappers to stay away from him/her. Luckily it was second semester of her senior year. I d not know what happened after that.
The original response to his secret plans being revealed were posted on the "you know you were in the Corp at A&M when" Private Group on Facebook.BQ22 said:

I was in shock that the Corps would allow someone with mental issues to be CO, but didn't affect my son, so let it be someone else's battle...
Just confirmed with my son. Everyone just pretends he is a girl so they don't get in trouble.
A fish whipped out last semester and kept calling him sir and got railed by the mental individual.
I told my son that back in my day, the fish class would have been ordered to seek, whipout, and intentionally call him Sir probably on a daily basis. We had some upper classmen that were not all-there. They would probably be in the Bull Ring, sitting Restricted Weekends or worse back then. Probably thrown out of the Corps the first time it happened in these times...
I don't think the Athletic department hates the Corps. Almost every coach we have had has spoken highly of the Corps and many have visited the quad both alone and with players.Boozer92 said:Ol Jock 99 said:1) Journalism was a PR debacle; no question.Quote:

All 3 reflect a small group of like minded people trying to make major decisions without consulting stakeholders.
You can call hiring a 100 mil football coach sport's silliness and I am sure some who don't care about or don't like the Corps will call this a non issue. The fact is it is a major problem
I can assure you that athletic department and many academics hate the Corps and everything it represents. they happily take the money all the D&C former cadets provide though. Many of the major donors to University were in the Corps. Most were D&C who went to found or take over large businesses. What would Kyle field look like if not for the donations of former Corps members. There is a reason the Corps is called the keepers of the spirit. They provide the funding that makes everything possible. Sure non-regs contribute as well but without former Cadets none of it exists
You need to tell your buddies and all the upperclassmen to get their parents to reach out to their local county A&M clubs and get these kind of messages out.DylanNymer2026 said:
Thank you sir and everyone else who is helping with this absolute disaster happening in the Corps right now. I'm a current pisshead and honestly the future is looking bleak. Outfit culture is the one of the main things that makes me interested in the Corps and is a big reason I joined, I'm in a nall-male Army outfit. We've been silenced and put on the back burner by Commandant staff and corps staff, completely over run by the new Commandant. He told the juniors and seniors in a meeting one Friday PT that they were a "lost cause" and said that trying to convince them of what he was trying to push was fruitless because he knew they wouldn't agree with it as it would kill the Corps. He has meetings with the fish every Monday morning (Which interrupts outfit PT) shoving this new agenda down their throats which is odd because they already have a SOMS class for that but I guess it's not enough. He tried a Friday meeting in the morning (Which interrupted training time) with the pissheads but got hissed the entire time and never showed his face at one again. So now we get have no morning formations during the week except for Mondays (BUT THE FISH AREN'T EVEN THERE). We can't smoke the freshmen and instill discipline for their mess ups except for when the stars alline throughout the week. We can't push them during formation for their mess ups. Our training times have been cut in half and are heavily regulated now. All of these changes have made me and my buddies extremely apathetic towards the Corps as a whole, but not to our outfit. I fear that if these changes go through and we are split up in different dorms and hallways, and the fish are in their own dorms, outfit cultures as a whole will disappear within a year or two and every outfit will be the same apathetic, just here for the scholarship, do as little as possible outfit. There was recently a poll on one of the Corps main meme pages called "Qadets" on Instagram asking people if they agree with the change and the results were a staggering 1230 to 54 not in favor of the changes. It's a very scary time and I encourage you to stay strong for us and the future of the Corps! TRUST ME WE ARE IN FULL SUPPORT OF GETTING RID OF THESE CHANGES BUT A MAJORITY ARE WORRIED OF THE REPERCUSSIONS THAT WOULD EFFECT OUR FUTURE IN THE CORPS AND THE MILITARY. That's why I'm so grateful for you all. Best, P.H 26'
Which outfit? If it's a BQ outfit, you can't force those fish into CT units without just cause. And if by 30% you mean 3 out of class of 10, that doesn't mean much either.Comeby! said:
Wasn't being sarcastic. This was something I assembled during FOW so it's likely out of date. Some units had 30%+ female fish classes.
Pulling stunts on campus isn't going to affect his decision. It will just prove that there is no discipline (in his eyes).DylanNymer2026 said:
A couple of large instagram pages with Corps followings have drafted ideas for "ghost formations", etc... But It's so early in nothing has happened yet. Still though, even the **** bag cadets/outfits are irate about the changes which is surprising.

Like I said, when my son did Spend the Night over half of the students there were staying with the very small number of All Male Outfits. You are taking the position some of the Corps Leadership (not students, employees) were taking which was annoyance and as if this is a bad thing.Comeby! said:freedomfighter11 said:
Dumb idea. Give cadets a choice; integrated, all male, all female... what does the current recruiting data reflect between the two? Grades? Retention? Which outfits have waiting lists to join? Which outfits consistently recruit better than others? What do those successful outfits looks like? Why are we not replicating success stories on the quad? This secret plan decimates successful outfit programs. And why? What is the reasoning? There is no logic behind it.
How about this, give them all a choice of any outfit? No more designated all male units. If they haze a female out of the unit, then maybe they should get some special attention. There is enough females to go around. I've actually counted them, primarily because I felt that my old unit had a disproportionate amount versus other integrated, and definitely versus all male units.
You don't have to like it, but I prefer this over the currently proposed changes. I recognize that it's not an either or decision.
I know of one that transitioned and marched at Final Review on the first pass as a male and the second as a female. Then after the second pass went around to any of the guys "she" thought would be uncomfortable and did everything "she" could to get reactions out of them because "she" knew that "she" was bulletproof and could do anything and would have loved to destroy a few normal guys careers if "she" could. Fortunately none took the bait.Gator_2 said:TXAGBQ76 said:

Okay, I should have guessed the woke mobsters have infested the commandants office. In light of this you guys have monumental problems that will not end well. I don't know how you guys can fix this problem other than voting out Democrats. It sounds as if the CoC is turning into a woke hot mess and implode on its own, or worse be targeted again by the DOJ same as it was in the 60's.aggiez03 said:The transgender dude to chick is currently the outfit CO.EagleCamden said:holy frickin frick.TXAGBQ76 said:

Here's a thought. People like All Male and All Female outfits. Not everyone but most do. The opportunity to be in an All Male or All Female outfit is a very appealing one because you bond a hell of a lot closer than if you have an integrated outfit because the rules are the level of connection is going to be different.
