I don't think the problem was that Fox said it was terrorism initially. The problem is that Fox kept saying it was terrorism long after it was obvious that it wasn't.Rapier108 said:

Within about 30 minutes after the event, CNN reported that it likely wasn't terrorism and explained why, and News Nation, MSNBC, & BBC all followed suit within about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, Fox was still running with the terrorism fear porn for at least two additional hours. I was flipping back and forth between the networks (as I tend to do when I have the time), and it became painfully obvious that Fox News was either lying for the sake of ratings or was grossly incompetent.
I'm definitely no fan of CNN, and I'm not normally a Fox News hater, but Fox News showed its ass today and deserves the criticism.
