Seriously what bizarre world are you living in that only the top 10% go to bars?

Like...what a mind blowingly false statement. You truly have no clue what you are talking about.

Bars are FILLED with the lower to middle classes. It's their bread and ****ing butter.

Let me give you young dorks some advice. There is only one thing you need to know how to do to get women. You have to know how to talk to them. Women are easily manipulated and can be fooled just as easily as a raccoon with a mirror. Trick them. Make them believe they need to be with you. Not overly cocky but confident. If you say things on your date like "veg out" or "Netflix and chill" or "no worries", you're going to expose yourself as the beta you are. Pretend to like coffee black. Pretend to know how to chamber a gun. Drive a Tesla? Trade it in. Order a bourbon on ice instead of a white claw. This isn't hard. Basically what I'm trying to get across to you chick repellant losers is at least try to act like a man.

This is about right. Learn from high value men how to speak with and understand women. Do not take advice on dating from women.

FFS, all I've said on this thread is that I SEE plenty of average guys in bars doing great with women that are pretty good looking. Perhaps since I'm in my 50's and go to bars that aren't full of young people it's different. But even walking around I see plenty of average Joes (4-6) with women that are at least average looking (5-7).

You make it seem like the majority of women are just waiting around until it's their turn to screw some hot guy and hopefully "land" him. That's not what I'm seeing. Not remotely.

My counterpoint to much of what is being suggested on here is that you have to go to a bar to meet women. I would argue that very few young men and women go to bars. And that those who go to bars are highly active in the dating market.

And on the flip side, the every day approach is not acceptable for the most part like it once used to be (work, at grocery store, etc.). Those are environments where men, unless very attractive/skilled, are way less likely to succeed in the current social media and feminist era.
Most young people over 21 don't go to bars? That seems crazy to me. I live west of downtown Austin and if I take a walk down west 6th street on a weekend night I see tons of young people out. This doesn't disprove anything you said above but there is a lot going on for young people if they want to participate.

Guys who remain in entry level jobs or unskilled labor have always struggled to find women. That's not the fault of feminism or dating apps.

That used to be the case sure. Now? I don't know anymore given how expensive everything is. Who can actually afford to do this every single night? Costs of everything has effectively doubled or tripled over the last few years.

This is a reason why many young don't go out much. They can't afford it anymore.

Who said anything about every single night?

Yeah man, young people still go out. They still hook up. The world isn't as nearly as bleak as you are making it out to be. But don't take my word for it.

Put the phone down.

Go out there.

Meet real people.

They aren't. Before I was married I tried a variety of apps. Certain cities and age groups are absolutely loaded. It was honestly overwhelming, next thing you know you're swiping yes to everyone.

Dating apps have made it to where women are going after the top 5% of men, ignoring the other 95%.
Yeah and those 5% are dumping them after the first hook-up, oops I mean date. Then after getting their little hearts broken these same women become bitter thinking ALL men are pigs.

Online dating can work but both sexes need to be smart about it.

Dating Apps aren't the real world.

In the real world, young, normal, average people are still meeting up, dating, getting married, having babies.

Just tell your boys to put the ****ing phone down and get involved in activities in the real world with real people. It's really that simple.
Agreed. Both my millennial children met great spouses and have turned out to be outstanding parents. Neither of them ever did a dating app. They met people the old fashioned way - one through friends and the other at work.

120,000 matches in a year for Chad vs 192 for an average man.

This goes in line perfectly with how women view 90% of men as unattractive. I don't see how this will work long term. We know marriage rate are plummeting and that divorce is initiated by women 80% of the time.

The fact that the majority of women will be single and childless by the end of the 2030s says everything.

I'm married and have two sons and I immensely worry about their future options all of the time. I know they aren't likely to look like Chad Thunderc**k in large part because they won't be 6'5" even if they have good genetics elsewhere. I won't have to speak to them about this topic for a number of years but frankly I have no idea what I would even say. I don't want to blackpill them immediately but I won't lie to them either.

The internet has given me women the infinite fallacy of choice and destroyed the ability of men to find someone on their level. The end result is that both will end up alone.

The only real option at this point is to put your faith into God and find a woman this way because the modern methods are out completely.
I doubt 192 matches per year is average for the average guy.

They lose by lowering their standards, not by choice, but by necessity. Once they start to age, their options for meaningful relationships with any kind of man of value reduces rapidly. Those guys are getting taken off the market by the girls who've listened to smart ladies on how to win the long game.

"Will they be single and childless though?

Seems to me they'll screw every Chad out there and at some point realize they are nothing more than a *****.

Then they will fall to earth and lower their standards. Unless men are willing to completely swear them off, they'll find someone at that point.

I don't see women losing at all here."

Sure, going to a downtown high end bar or club is very expensive. But there are plenty of bars for lower to medium income people in not so expensive parts of town. And since when do young guys care about blowing thru a paycheck to chase women?

Met my wife online with match. 7 years ago. It works. Just all about how you use it. No clue if this works now.

What worked for me... after trial and error... was just marketing 101 of standing out/differentiating from the same old garbage. I made my profile an application for a joint venture/wife position. Stated what her role would be so she could pick the adventure. They had to provide their resume to me and the back/forth was an interview prior to dating... and holy cow that worked like crazy.

Met my wife that way fairly quickly because I stood out from the others.

Best thing I could recommend is plan everything. Don't say "whatever you want" "I dunno".

Men do have it rough.

It's why conventional advice to your average guy now a days is to "focus on yourself" in your 20's. The vast majority of men aren't physically attractive to women so they have to offset that with college degrees, career prospects / success, a good personality and yes…… money.

Yep. As much as women try to say they want to be independent and in charge and strong in the end almost all of them want someone who will just make decisions and guide them and make them feel safe and loved, the more you can relieve them of pressure the better. The hardest part is delivery, being firm and confident without being controlling and arrogant.

Men on the other hand just want peace and someone to make a nice home and make them feel valued. We are much simpler creatures.

A woman needs to hear she is loved and special, a man needs to hear that she is proud of him and he is appreciated. I've been married 28 years and my parents made it to 56 before Dad passed.

I've never gone out with someone on a dating app and I'm very middle class so maybe this is a bit of a sidebar but I did meet a girl at a bar a couple of months ago in Austin. She told me that night she was about to move to the Big Island in Hawaii.

I thought what terrible timing. But then went back to Austin and took her out on an amazing date. Then she moved three weeks ago and I thought well that was fun but I'll never hear from her again. Two days after being gone she messages me when I had planned to never contact her again even though we'd been talking every day since we met.

So we continued to talk and I planned the most amazing trip for us in Oahu and took it two weeks ago as I thought to myself "I gotta go get that girl". The first three days were phenomenal. The last day was icy and we've since stopped all communication which has been rough.

By far the hottest girl I've met in forever with an incredible personality. The rub? She was half my age so it was never going to work out long distance but the heart takes over the brain sometimes and you think to yourself might as well give it a shot.

Wish I hadn't. I'd have a lot more money in the ol' bank account and a much fuller heart. And the dating pool at my age (45) on dating apps just sounds like a bad idea. Almost as bad as falling in love with a 23 year old.

Chalk it up as a fun trip to a great locale and a life lesson. The money will return. I am a similar age and I have given up on dating. Not worth it for so many reasons. If I was to meet someone, great but you wont find me making much effort in that department.

I'm the exact same way and never expected her to come into my life out of nowhere, us get so close in a short amount of time, and then be gone forever in the blink of an eye.

Hawaii is freaking magical though. If I ever stumble upon the right person again at least I have the most epic adventure already mapped out. Place was like it was on a different planet.

I got married to a girl I met in college, as God intended. I was probably more introverted than the average guy but still always had a steady girlfriend or at least could rustle up a date pretty readily from age 16 until I got married at 25. A&M probably had slightly more males than females back then too. Not sure what's going on with young people today. My guess is that guys need to get out in the real world and participate in coed activities as another poster suggested in this thread previously. I don't mean going to bars and trolling for vapid ****s. Between church and classes or other coed club activities you ought to be able to meet normal girls - then just have the nerve to actually invite them out on a date. The dumb hoes in these videos holding out for a 25 year old bodybuilder millionaire are likely NOT representative of the whole female population.

You teach them how to date wisely. Don't bang chicks early. Cut bait as soon as you see the major red flags (highly irrational, disrespectful or downright stupid) and tell them finding a good woman early is the key. Don't expect to wait til your late 20s. The women that make it that long are single for a reason, 95% of the time.

Every time these threads come up I always wonder if the doomsayers ever actually go out to bars and see what's going on. They're packed with men and women of all ranges (1 - 10) mingling and often hooking up. You will see less than desirable people having fun with each other and leaving together. You absolutely do not need to be an alpha male to get women. It's just a lot easier if you are.

Most the women I know are so desperate that just being able to hold a job and carry on a conversation is a green light. Kudos to the dude who approaches, introduces himself, and asks her name.

I apologize for not reading all the replies before adding my own.

There is a silver lining in all of this for young men. The competition, so to speak, is weak and worthless right now. A young man could put forth minimal effort now compared to generations past, and do well for himself. Don't be out of shape, don't wear dirty ill fitting clothes, have an interest you put effort into that doesn't involve a cell phone, tv, or computer, and you will be ahead of most of the other guys.

For young women this is a disaster.
