We should be selecting nominees with, at a minimum, a track record of supporting the policies they now advocate. Grassroots work, block walk, serve as a precinct captain, a state convention delegate. Run for school board, state legislator even. I'm on Team DeSantis and I agree with you on the track record point. Though your point he made a donation to Hillary is incorrect - another Indian guy with the same name who worked as a software engineer at Genentech (i.e. a company Vivek never worked for) made that donation.

However, Vivek DID make a donation to a pharma executive named Dena running for a Dem seat in 2016. I would like someone in the media to ask about this donation.

Regardless, I believe his naivety is his most vulnerable trait. Imagine you're interviewing a CEO candidate for your business - and let's disregard Vivek was a CEO - would you opt for a young guy with no experience who can eloquently talk the talk, or a youngish guy with a proven track record of walking the walk?

No, he's got some campaign promises that are unlikely to be fulfilled. He's like a kid running for class president promising longer lunch hours and free snacks.

To be clear- I like many of the promises he makes. But, I've been around long enough to know they are empty, unfulfillable words that mean nothing and he's simply saying what he must to get noticed. His past political stances or donations are a canary in the coal mine.

He's done nothing to suggest he'd be a better option than desantis or Trump.

I will Not vote R if it is Christie (God forbid) and a few others like Pence; however, I am not like some of these ignorant ass RINOs who will cast a vote for Biden or the opposition just because they do not like the R candidate. Why are we acting like this is Vivek vs. Desantis? Depends on what you mean. Desantis has done plenty of MSM stuff where they do approve of him or his message. If you're talking about idiots like charlamagne, I would consider that choosing not to waste his time talking to an audience of people who likely

1. Do not vote, or
2. Would give what he says no more than a passing "huh, that's interesting" before voting Dem again.

It would be like trying to convert atheists to Catholicism with a two hour interview. Not only do you need to get people to consider the idea of theism, but get them all the way to one of the most conservative and rule laden versions of it. It's a waste of time.

Also, if we can work electronically, why can't we vote electronically? It will take some time before that happens but that is what we need to get to.
