Yep. He did well. DeSantis would only give Shawn a 15min phone segment of soundbytes. Even Shawn in the Vivek interview seemed disappointed by that. Not sold on either candidate but what a half ass effort by Ron. Now, prepare for a dissertation reply from a certain poster.

We need smart people running this country again. That's Vivek. And as a bonus he's likeable because he'll talk to anybody. Trump was a terrible leader. DeSantis is a good leader but not likeable. I thought DeSantis's wife would help him a lot and bring out the softer side but honestly, she's terrible at campaigning.

Was listening to him on JP today. It's a bit cringe listening him talk about "God". Like he's saying there are similarities between Hinduism's polytheistic beliefs and the Judeo Christian monotheistic God. I don't really care since I'm a Buddhist, but him analyzing Old Testament scripture was ugh.

I love his positions and his heart. I guess he thinks he has to do this to gain the Christian vote.

It's about bridging the gap and uniting the country. Who is better equipped to do so, someone who at one point banned NBC because they weren't fair to them or someone who will talk to anyone, anywhere regardless of circumstance? Vivek is the guy. The debate will hopefully further exemplify that.

We can all huff and puff but Trump may not be on the ballot in several swing states. If that's the case, its over and the process called national divorce will have begun. The Dems have already shown they don't care about the Constitution or the rule of law. They make it fit whatever they are trying to accomplish and have enough willing accomplices in the judicial system that will invent new interpretations. By the time this winds its way to SCOTUS, the election will be over. Though its early, we had better start thinking real hard about who the 2nd choice of the republicans. If for some reason Trump isn't able to be elected, Vivek is my choice. Vivek will be also be a nice follow to Trump should Trump become POTUS again.

With the level of sickness this country has reached, you need an experienced surgeon to cut out the rot. Vivek knows he WANTS to cut out the rot. That's good. But he has not demonstrated he knows HOW and misunderstanding his potential powers already shows that he is primed for the trump treatment. They'll hit him from a dozen different directions and he won't know how to react
Is Christie or DeSantis the "surgeon we need"? Maybe Pence? I mean Pence was there for 4 years as Trump's consigliere about how "things in Washington get done" aka a surgeon.

Or is Tim Scott the surgeon? The never married momma's boy from cotton to congress? Does he know how to cut the rot?

If Vivek can cut it, he will prove it at the debate(s) and on the trail. But I am not going to sell him short just because Mr Vivek has not gone to Washington (yet).
DeSantis definitely performed "surgery" in Florida in a masterful way and continues to do so. He's absolutely destroyed the Democrat Party in that state and made it into probably the most conservative state in the country in 5 years. He did it one very strategic piece at a time and once he had the votes in the Leg he went full bore. He had a great record in the House where he Founded the Freedom Caucus, had a perfect voting record, and got Foreign Policy experience. Dude just wins, if anything he doesn't talk about his accomplishments enough. This is today's update:

Vivek has shown he is smart, can speak well, and make money as an investor, that's about it. His investing is also almost exclusively in Pharma. I mean really, that's his resume. He's never managed a large group of people and he's never worked or dealt in government or even civic affairs on any significant level. He grew up in private schools and has little in common with the average voter. He doesn't seem to have much of a team around him. The crazy thing to me is in all these threads on Vivek I don't hear his supporters doing anything but showing him speaking. They don't seem to know much about him other than what he says about himself. Always do your homework and research, it makes your arguments stronger. If any of what I listed is incorrect please let me know but be factual. I'd probably take Vivek over Trump simply because I don't think Trump has any path to winning and at least Vivek has a shot, even though I think he is incredibly risky and not ready. The rest of the field sucks.

I have no issue with Vivek not having been in government per se but Trump had 10x the level of experience he did in a wide variety of businesses and while never serving had a ton of experience working with politicians. Yet he still got crushed by the Swamp.

Here's another book by the same duo perhaps you should check out as well.

"Per the experience of earlier generations, the coming of age of the Millennial Generation is likely to take place in the midst of a profound shift in America's social mood, a shift that will match and reflect the new generation's persona. For Millennials, this shift will focus on the needs of the community more than the individual, so it is likely to induce large-scale institutional change. Thus, the word rebellion is not entirely appropriate. The word revolution might better catch the spirit of what lies ahead."
Hmmm...

So, communism?

This really is sad at this point. All of these have been asked and answered. The attacks have been foiled and yet, here we are with the same exact folks (TRM, Fl_ag1998, aggie93, the banned, etc) with the same constant attacks. It's old, it's tired and it has failed. Move on.

Good luck to your guy in the debate!

Something that capitalism also creates. But that's fine. Mire yourself if you'd like and disregard the entirety of the policies Vivek has talked about constantly. He is the only candidate that offers revolution vs incremental change. So if you want more of the same, vote Desantis, if you want great change and a resurgence to the principles set forth by our forefathers, vote Vivek. It really is that simple.

Maybe Vivek needs to serve 5 or 6 terms in the house then be a governor after barely winning a primary then barely winning an election... maybe then he can be exalted to the levels of Kemp and DeSantis. Proven veterans of the establishment who simply know how Washington DC works.

The drumbeat for DeSantis and the hate on Vivek feels like the same excuses people used to excuse their vote for Biden... I mean "against Trump" in 2020.

People seem so worried about just letting the process play out vs BS about left wing media conspiracies to destroy the great RonneD.

So I caught a bit more about Vivek's "revolution" comment that people are trying to paint with a communist or socialist brush.

He was referencing the Founding Fathers and the changes they were supporting to establish a better government for the colonies. And also made revenue to Thomas Jefferson's young age… 33 years old, when the Country was founded.

People need to get past the CNN headlines and bad Twitter feeds.

This is absolute false information and trolling.

He said that he does not blindly trust that the government has told us the complete truth about 09/11 given the recent "hoaxes".

He was asked about federal agents at Jan 6th and if they may have been on planes for 09/11. He said "probably zero, likely zero" but that the government has a recent track record for being less than honest and forthright.

You should be ashamed to have posted that tweet. Particularly with NO context. Textbook troll.

If you want to vote on empty promises to overthrow bureaucracy, vote Vivek. If you want actual plans that can be enacted with success, as evidence by prior track record, vote desantis.

As a millennial myself, I see where you're coming from. Revolution sounds awesome when you see the amount of bull**** out there. Problem is revolution means war. If we're starting a war, sure I'm picking a 30-40 year old with a ton of military experience. Even then I'm not living Vivek. And again, as a millennial, I don't see our group as the hero generation to make major change. I see us as the hero-complex generation who see ourselves as much more intelligent and capable than we actually are

I think Christie and Pence will attempt to keep the focus on Trump and attack other candidates based on their affiliation. I think Vivek will deflect and stick to his target of "I'm not running against anyone, I'm running for this country" and Vivek will win the day by not attacking and instead using this debate to promote his message on his America first policy.

I have no idea what Borgum or Asa will do so watch them attempt to sabotage a front runner's campaign. They seem to have nothing to gain and likewise nothing to lose. So the long knives will be out because their presidential run is over anyway.
