Tanya. Yes. Parents need to know whats going on with their children.

You supposing that they will be beaten is not an excuse. Parents need to know what's going on with their children. Especially if their children are only "non-binary" at school. Because that's where this is going. "You're a girl at school, but a boy at home".

You know, grooming behavior.

This wasnt a problem 10 years ago.

Sorry not sorry that I don't think kids should be beaten.

And you are nuts if you think it won't happen

It is sad you think teachers are deserving of more trust than parents when it comes to knowing about what their children are going through.

Additionally that kind of attitude is what is wrong with the current educational system and the erosion of parents rights.

Brainwashed Marxist, flawed teachers do not deserve more trust regarding the well being of their children than parents.

If you only knew how many times I reported parents, you would understand why I would not involve myself in telling parents their kids believe they are trans.

Just because some parents are bad does not mean the majority of parents are bad and don't deserve the chance to be good parents.

I am not going to get into what you reported the parents for. Because that's not my place.

However ur anecdotal evidence means that you are operating on a skewed sample size.

Additionally an adult telling to keep a secret from their parents is the first sign of grooming and abuse.

Over 40 calls and kids with broken ribs and black eyes and starved over a weekend?
You make choices to protect kids from an overworked and underpaid system.

Should we counter this with the number of stories of teachers of both sexes having sex with their students? Until a parent is found to be abusive, they should be informed of their child's abnormal behavior.
Nobody on here has said otherwise.

This. Instead of assuming the parents are evil and abusive.

If there is evidence of abuse that would make a teacher hesitant to communicate this sort of things to the parent, then that parent should probably have been reported before the trangender/lbgtq thing came up which would be a failure on the teacher's part.

(And if the parents are abusive they are criminals- that goes without saying).

The risk of damage from kids being convinced to go trans is higher than the risk of them being beaten.

And the teacher should tell the student "I'm required to tell your parents". Then if kid says, "but they will beat me." Then report the parents. Then we'll either protect the kid from abusive parents or expose the kid as a liar which would need to be addressed. Either way is better outcome than just keeping it secret.

Exactly. If a teacher suspects abuse, they're required by law to report it. As long as the child hasn't been forcibly removed from their parent's care, it's safe for the teacher to operate under the assumption that the parent is fit.

Most people I know don't want teachers vetting parents' fitness according to their own standards, especially because the irony is that the teachers who would withhold this info from parents are themselves the kind of parent who would take their own small children to drag shows. This is just a way to rationalize the evil desire to hide information about children from their parents. It has nothing to do with suspecting abuse.

Good point. There's a high probability that a kid that thinks they are trans has depression that could lead to suicide. For every one kid that gets a beating, there's probably 10 that are getting no help with their depression and suicidal thoughts from their parents.

Yeah, sure, let's drag the cops into this and investigate parents because a confused adolescent is being dramatic.

This is a tough spot for a teacher to be in and I can understand the district wanting to practice CYA.

The leftism from Austin is spreading like a cancer outwards. Round Rock is lost. Georgetown is next. Leander, Liberty Hill, etc, it's just a matter of time. The winery phenomenon from Johnson City to Fburg is drawing idiot wine drinking liberals into that area like flies to crap. I remember when it was peach stands , selling peach ice cream and baskets of peaches. Now its phony wine resorts selling wine that's mostly made somewhere else to a bunch of divorcees in a guided "Texas wine tour". Really sad.

Hell I went to Enchanted Rock in 2022 and a family of 4- 2 school aged kids- are bounding up the rock. in masks.

You're describing a child that's got some form of mental illness and that's serious. The encouragement of trans and glorification of it has blown it way out of proportion.
