So as the war in Europe escalates and more drone attacks happen in Russia, the intelligentsia in the US are ratcheting up calls for renewed draft. HMMMM
We are no involved on the ground. We don't plan to be. Why on earth would the draft be an issue?
Pool is misinformed. No reservists have been called up for deployment to Europe that weren't already in queue for normal rotations.

We haven't called up any IRR members. We've only authorized it. This has been done many times in the past without actual callups. It's something you have in place if you ever need them.
Right now, we have regular reserve rotations to Poland, Romania, and other eastern European locations and have for almost a decade now.
If a few SOCOM personnel are considered "boots on the ground" then we have boots on the ground in just about every hot spot in the world.

Anyone talking about a draft is just fear mongering and posting click bait. It's simply not happening. Didn't happen for Desert Storm, didn't happen for Iraq 2, and didn't happen for Afghanistan. We put hundreds of thousands of boots on the ground in those declared wars, yet no draft.
