So does Trump. He halted illegal immigration when he made those seeking "asylum" wait in Mexico before their hearings.
That was great. Of course that's all gone now because he didn't make any permanent changes and they were wiped away with Biden's pen. Had he finished the wall though that would have been more permanent.

FWIW the problem wasn't that Trump didn't want to do it the problem was he was always 2 steps behind the people trying to stop him. He didn't take the time to understand his powers until he was already stuck in the mud. You have to have a plan and competent people around you to be effective and he had neither.
LOL, so DeSantis is going to have congress pass a law that makes all those requesting asylum stay in their country of origin? LMAO. Dude won't even do it with an EO. Too many people on the right want these low priced workers.

Now, I'm sure he will do some symbolic gesture, like he's done in Florida. But there are too many millionaires that need fleecing for him to turn them all against him.

Oops. I guess DeSantis now hates firefighers. Well, maybe more appropriate that he's more interested in his political gain than firefighters.

"Not long before the new appointees took their places, however, the firefighters worked out an agreement on a new contract with the old board. The union members voted to approve it, but two months later, it still hasn't been approved or even discussed publicly by the new board," according to the news organization.

And the new board isn't honoring that deal, which would have raised minimum salaries for firefighters by $10,000 while also adding as many as 36 new firefighters and EMTs.
No big deal, right. Just approve the deal that was agreed to earlier. But, there will be political pushback. LOL, he's OK with the deal, except the public found out about it.
Quote:

The issue isn't that DeSantis's board backed out of the deal; it's that the details of the cozy arrangement became public. That in turn has pressured the new district administrator, Glen Gilzean, to back out of the deal, which some see as a reward for the union supporting DeSantis.

"This contract got into the hands of city and county leaders across the state of Florida," Shirey wrote. "Glen had been receiving calls left and right yelling at him that he couldn't sign this agreement, and how it was going to screw all of the taxpayers in those areas bc they would have to raise taxes just to be able to recruit and stay even somewhat competitive with the new market."
But the union backed DeSantis.

The firefighters union has supported DeSantis, and members stood next to the governor during his news conference announcing the takeover of RCID. Now, the new DeSantis-controlled board has not signed the deal and wants to go back to the negotiating table
Oops. When you deal with someone more interested in political gain, well, I guess you learn.

Man, I'll give you credit for the effort you're putting into this whole "Desantis is a grifter!" narrative. As usual, following the leftist's playbook of taking your candidate's actions and attempting to transpose them onto his enemy as a way to deflect.

Smoke and mirrors! But that fits Trumps playbook these days. Lies and "watch this hand while you ignore what I'm doing over here!". Ignore how Trump kissed Pfizer's butt when he got elected and then made them into trillionaires during COVID, but look at Desantis getting some donotions from rich guys!

Keep trying buddy, someone needs to make sure that laugh cry emoji gets used so Texags doesn't get rid of it.

DeSantis has the Border as his #1 Priority to fix and plans to declare and emergency Day 1. He's had his legal and political team working on exactly how he can maximize his powers to fix the problem for some time now similar to what they are doing to fire and replace the heads of most of the agencies and bureaucracy in DC. He passed the harshest penalties for hiring illegals in the country in FL and has made it the hardest state for any illegal to live with the Legislation he passed. He has a real record and has actually done what he said he would do.

All you have is speculation from reading too much Truth Social that because Trump failed that there is no way that DeSantis can succeed.

"We just shot ourselves in the foot to the tune of millions of dollars that this agreement would have put into the pockets of our members," Union President Jon Shirey said in a memo to members.

Ok, obvious hit piece article but let me get this straight.

Union has a long history of problems with the old Disney Board. At the last minute they agree to terms that are highly beneficial to the Union as they are about to be taken over. New Board takes over and sees the deal and doesn't agree with it because it was clearly a bad negotiation and a "cozy" deal that was going to screw over taxpayers. So DeSantis folks are doing the right thing for the taxpayers and want to negotiate a fair deal. That is bad for the Union who backed DeSantis and almost got a sweetheart deal as a part of the old Board trying to screw over the new Board.

Yet your conclusion from that is that DeSantis is the corrupt one for his appointees (not DeSantis directly) standing up to someone that supported him that was trying to screw over the taxpayers for their own gain. The real irony is this article only shows that DeSantis once again put the taxpayers and doing the right thing ahead of people that either donated to him or gave him support hoping for special favors. It would have been very easy just to give the Union their sweetheart deal and they likely would have gotten little if any blowback but they did the right thing for the People.

Twitter is a news aggregator and it is easier to post from there than to post separate links because of how Texags is formatted. Most of the "Twitter posts" are simply easier ways of being able to post news articles and interviews as well as comments from Trump or other figures.

My point isn't that you are posting directly from Truth it is that your tenor of articles seems to follow as if that is where you get all of your news. You can basically do the same on Twitter if you just follow Trump influencers though or if you go to Free Republic or some other sites. The thing I like about Twitter is it is the only place that truly has all sides and is the least filtered. My feed at any given time has DeSantis folks followed by "Johnny MAGA" followed by Gavin Newsom right after each other. You can't get that anywhere else.

Mainly the issue though is your arguments are easily debunked and often uninformed. Talking about how DeSantis is owned by his donors when he has disproven that over and over and over or saying that he isn't serious about the border or illegal immigration when he has disproven that over and over and over while you have a laugh/cry emoji on every post to be condescending makes you look foolish. I enjoy debate and honest discussion. Sometimes you do engage in that but then you come back with garbage like these last few responses. You also avoid the hard topics like some of Trump's comments in the Fox interview as if they never happened.

Your article also is trying to say how he screwed over the Union which is the real tell. So which is it? It's bad that the new Board stood up for the taxpayers which is their job or that they screwed over the Union and wouldn't be bought off by them?

That's not what happened with Disney. Why can't you defend Trump's position without having to resort to lies? It's really sad.

Uh, that's actual facts.
1. DeSantis for years had zero problem with Reedy Creek
2. Disney puts out a TV ad
3. DeSantis publicly states he's going after Disney
4. He first tries to take over Reedy Creek by appointing new members
5. Disney LOL's at him and had Reedy Creek turn over power back to Disney,
6. So, then decides to just dissolve it all together, despite many other entities in the state having these districts already set up.
NPR
Quote:

The governor gave it a new name, the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, and appointed five of his allies to the board, including a prominent parents' rights activist, a Christian nationalist and a lawyer who donated $50,000 to his campaign.

On paper, the new board would supervise municipal services and development for the land around Disney World. In practice, DeSantis said, the board would also serve as a moral arbiter for a company that had lost its way.

These are all actual, proven facts of the actions that document the weaponization of government against an entity that put out a TV ad against DeSantis' policy.

2. Made the US energy independent
3. Shut down illegal migration
4. Made the US THE strongest country in the world
5. Created millions of jobs and increased labor participation in the US
6. Put America first in everything he did.
etc.
FIFY
All that was great, then he turned the country over to Fauci in 2020 and still hasn't learned from any of his mistakes. He literally just had an interview where he STILL wishy washy on whether he should have fired Fauci and was wanting credit for "Saving 100 million people" with his vaccine that "People love".

Trump has lost his fastball. His superpower was that he could speak for those who were being ignored by everyone else and advocate for them. He was in touch with what those people were thinking and feeling. The way he handled Covid and still talks about Covid and the vaccine has shown that's no longer the case. His demeanor has also changed. He isn't funny anymore, he's just angry and whiny. He doesn't have the casual air of confidence while he dissects arguments. It's now just ALL CAPS posts and tired nicknames with the occasional glimpse of what he was before. Mainly he is just playing the victim and upset that people won't put him on a pedestal and are asking him hard questions.

Of course the real issue is that now we have someone better than Trump. He's younger, smarter, and FAR more politically savvy in getting things done. His policies are almost identical only more socially conservative (foreign policy, trade, reforming the Deep State, the economy, the border are really splitting hairs between the two). Trump is also doing weird attacks like how reforming SS in any way is bad and eliminating the IRS is bad when any conservative should support those goals.

THAT'S THE HEADING AND SUBHEADER! Starting off completely neutral though, right?! LOL
I never said it was "unbiased". I said it was factual. You see, that is EXACTLY what happened and it's very detailed in the actual facts. It doesn't make anything up and is backed by actual quotes from actual people, not "unnamed sources" that I consistently criticize on here.

Right here, from your original reply to me....

Biased?? Only because it tells what actually happened?

But go ahead, move those goalposts.

Without deflection, lies, and goalpost moving you have no arguments. You do realize you're a laughingstock on this board now, right?

1. Lowered taxes temprarily
2. Deregulated the US O&G industry (we produce the wrong type of oil and we still need more refining capacity)
3. Kept illegal migration steady (it's been flat since 2007/2008 until Biden)
4. Kept the US THE strongest country in the world
5. Created millions of jobs and increased labor participation in the US then Lockdown Don pissed it away with his COVID lockdowns.
6. Put America first in everything he did. (Followed Fauci's advice, so no he didn't and he enriched China in the process. Not mention his stupid First Step Act that puts law abiding citizens at risk by releasing criminals)
etc.

Biased?? - that means I don't think it's biased? I questioned if actual facts makes it biased. I never said it was not biased.

Again, it's factually accurate. I know the TDS affected hates actual facts, but it is what it is.

Worships a lying clown and then accuses others of hating facts. Amazing stuff.

You know, for a Trump supporter, you read and repost a lot of NPR and Media Matters material...
