Ten minutes of DeSantis speech in Iowa tonight. He had Kim Reynolds introduce him and essentially endorse him. All substance and authenticity.

I used to think the big lead that Trump had in the polls may be too much to overcome. Now I don't think that it will be hard for RD to overcome. DeSantis doesn't have to do anything. He just has to let Trump implode.

Man, some days I wonder if Trump has his finger on the self-destruct button.

I'm beginning to think his 'methods are unsound.'

Trump throws Kayliegh under the bus that quickly like he does with everyone, but he's pissed that DeSantis isn't "loyal" to him. Trump is a total f'n clownshow at this point.

a few folks have posted pictures of Trump looking awful while on the Golf Course and the supposition was they were photoshopped pictures

can anyone investigate if this is photoshopped

because if it's real- Trump is in very big trouble.

What I don't think Team Trump is realizing is that they are burning a lot bridges here. Yes, I prefer Desantis, but the more I hear from Trump, the more I dislike him. I am not a never-Trumper... but in the last couple of months, based on his behavior, the thought has crossed my mind. I'm absolutely a pragmatist, and I would never vote for a Dem ticket, but if he continues this, I am not seeing much different in his behavior and your run of the mill Dem presidential candidate. I'm more willing to hold my nose and pull the lever than most, I think, and if I'm feeling the pull of not voting for the Republican nominee (if it is Trump), then there will be a LOT of others who just won't do it.

I have been stating this would happen for two years now

there is just no way that Trump will win back any voters from 2020 who voted Biden.

add in the fact that more of Trump voters have died in the 4 years between elections,

and more young leftists will be able to vote for the first time in 2024 than ever before.

it all adds up to Trump again losing Georgia, Arizona, PA, WI, MI, VA and likely North Carolina this time.

Trump denigrating DeSantis military service because Pete Buttigieg also served. Brilliant strategy!

Doubling down

LMAO

only a draft dodger and his cronies who also never served

would have the chutzpah to attack a VETERAN who served alongside the SEALS in Iraq.

but Trump is so patriotic he disparages McCain and DeSantis for them serving in the Navy-while he was playing with his daddy's money in Manhattan.
Let's try not to glamourize the Desantis' military history. He was a legal advisor, period. Not to mention that he's never had a real job, always a public servant...since that point is brought up a lot about political figures never having real jobs.
so first, you are just plain factually incorrect in your assertions.

DeSantis worked as a history teacher after graduating from Yale. Or are teachers also not "real jobs" like volunteering to serve in Iraq is "not a real job". Secondly, the U.S. Department of Justice appointed him to serve as a Special Assistant U.S. attorney at the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Middle District of Florida.[40]

Third, who was glamorizing his service?!!! are there now only some veterans who should be praised while 80% of us military veterans who never killed anyone aren't to be mentioned?

just to understand your point of view- which branch of service were you in and are you a combat veteran?

and if so- why are you denigrating fellow servicemen who volunteered during a time of war to serve their country in a literal war zone where convoys were being blasted by IEDs every single day?

Trashing McEnany is next level stupid even for Trump. He is quickly running out of anyone from him Admin that he meets his test for rehire. I mean who is left at this point?

The funny thing I am noticing is that Trump's strategy of hiding out in MAL and staying off Twitter is working because no one goes to Truth except his fans. The more people hear him the more they are either reminded of what they didn't like or he gives them fresh new reasons to want to go another direction.

It is basically just Mnuchin and Pompeo left. Though I'm not sure either would sign up for round 2.

Barr, Tillerson, Mattis, Sessions, Chao, DeVos, Prebius, Mulvaney, Haley, Pence, Bolton, McEnany are all dragged in public by the guy. And they made up the bulk of his high level positions.
let's keep a running tab of all the Trump Administration personnel who were hired by Trump and then insulted and slandered by Trump. Boyd did a great job above but don't leave out the relatively meaningless position of SECRETARY OF DEFENSE Mark Esper

Trump hit back at Mark Esper's series of damaging claims, saying his former defense chief was so useless he had to 'run the military' himself
Tom Porter May 9, 2022, 1:54 PM GMT+3

Trump pushed back at a series of damaging remarks from his former defense secretary Mark Esper.
"Mark Esper was weak and totally ineffective," Trump said.

Esper made damaging claims about Trump, including that he wanted the military to shoot protesters.

Former President Donald Trump rejected some of the damaging claims made about him by Mark Esper, calling his former defense secretary so ineffective that Trump had to "run the military" himself.

In a "60 Minutes" interview that aired on Sunday, Esper said that while serving as defense secretary, he had to push back on several of Trump's desires to use military force in a number of situations, including getting the military to fire on anti-racism protesters in 2020 and firing missiles into Mexico to destroy drug labs. Esper described claims he made in his new memoir about serving in the Trump administration.

Trump responded to the claims in a statement to CBS, saying Esper was incompetent.

"Mark Esper was weak and totally ineffective and because of it, I had to run the military," the statement said.

"Mark Esper was a stiff who was desperate not to lose his job. He would do anything I wanted, that's why I called him 'Yesper.' He was a lightweight and figurehead, and I realized it very early on," it continued.

Again, TDS must affect one's ability to read. Trump has never bragged, or claimed he locked the country down. In fact, he said specifically he did NOT lock the country down.

The problem is his base eats this stuff up. They think it proves just how "tough" Trump is.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Again, your reading skills have failed you.

I support both DeSantis and Trump. TDS is a mental disorder that causes one's brain to create totally illogical responses. Suchj as these
Quote:

Trump is literally crowing about how he locked the country down
and
Quote:

and
Quote:

A total disreguard to actual, documented statements to come up with these illogical responses. That's TDS.

Here is what I found
COVID deaths in Florida = 88,288
COVID Deaths New York = 77,536

So, Trump is correct that New York had better results than Florida. Personally, I think that has to do more with the average age of Florida residents being higher than New York due to it being a retirement destination.

And the "15 days to slow the spread" was a recommendation, not a government forced lockdown.
The actual White House announcement
Quote:

This afternoon, President Trump and the White House Coronavirus Task Force issued new guidelines to help protect Americans during the global Coronavirus outbreak.

The new recommendations are simple to follow but will have a resounding impact on public health. While the President leads a nationwide response, bringing together government resources and private-sector ingenuity, every American can help slow the virus' spread and keep our most high-risk populations safe:
Do I have to explain the difference from the States that actually locked my business down and this recommendation from the President?

So per those numbers 0.40% of the FL pop died while 0.38% of the NY pop died. Fantastic, vast statistical gap there between FL and NY. And like you said, FL has a much higher pop of senior citizens.

Now let's look at quality of life between those two states during (and after) the pandemic. And economies. Then tell me who did the better job.

More importantly all of the "Covid Death" stats were garbage because of how they were accounted for. They were more manipulated than the Chinese Yuan.
