ETX is honestly starting to scare me a bit as someone who may be trigger happy. He has tried to justify every shooting recently, and has erroneously tried to apply the law to support himself over and over in very unreasonable ways.
Based off details available at this point this is a bad bad shoot.
Second, where did I defend this shooting? I said people need to be accountable for their actions and parents need to teach their children to be situationally aware.
And that the shooter was an idiot.
If you're not defending it to some extent, you're obfuscating the issue to try to turn this away from the guy who fired the gun to focusing on the actions of the girls (and their parents!)
As has been described in this thread, it is "common" for people to get into or try to get into the wrong car. It happens a ton. Our parents didn't fail us all nor do we all lack common sense. Mistakes happen.
If your point is to defend gun rights/gun ownership, you're not doing that any favors trying to cook up defenses to bad shots or trying to muddy the waters as you're doing here. Promote and protect the responsible use of guns by calling out irresponsible use of guns, full stop.
I am not defending a idiot shooting into a car full of people who aren't threat. It dumb, he's going to jail.
I am saying teach your kids to be aware of what's going on and not to do dumb*****
The law in the state of Texas is not on the side of people who get into other peoples cars, enter their businesses, or walk into peoples houses. Teach your kids that. Note: this does not apply in this case as the girls had retreated and were no longer a threat.
