This is exactly the mindset all Republican voters should have. Vote for who you want in the primary and then vote for the R candidate in the presidential election. Got some "republicans" on here in their feelings saying "I will only vote for Desantis. I won't vote for Trump if he gets the nominee." Do you think Democrats care who their nominee is? They vote for the "D" next to the candidate's name.

Desantis is better. But Trump deserves another term to fully break DC. Then Desantis can come in to rebuild. I'm sure Desantis will realize this, and no harm in promoting his brand now for future campaigns.

I guess I didn't understand the context of the thread. I thought most on here were smart enough to realize they don't know **** about what is GOING to happen. I just assume it was speculation and / or wishful thinking.

Example: I would love a DeSantis / Scott ticket. No idea if that will happen, or how reasonable it would be. Just wishful thinking, with no basis in fact.

Off base in my opinion. There is plenty of evidence he gets out there and puts in the work.

Donald Trump is an almost 80 year old man who is currently doing well in the polls, but his opponent has not yet entered the race and relying on polls is risky at this point, to put it mildly. (Ask Jeb Bush and Rudy G.) I believe that if he continues his run for President, which will continue to hurt and somewhat divide the Republican Party, he will lose the cherished and massive non-MAGA vote - which will be required to win the Presidency - and will never be able to successfully run for office again. If he remains an influential past-President and "King-Maker", which is what most of the country assumed, it would be a whole different story....JUST SAYIN' - But who knows?
