He's such an attention ***** that he can't help it.
I've told people this for a long time. When it comes to attention, Trump is the pig and attention is the mud.

To me, a totally legal moron, the grand jury not even meeting today says they have nothing to think about. It's says to me that Bragg is crapping his pants wondering what to do.
There was supposed to be a witness today. Maybe the witness cancelled so the sesson was cancelled? Cohen was not called yesterday even though he was there and available.

Could be Cohen was scheduled to rebut Costello but thought better of it?

'Game-Changer' Costello Testimony May Have Sunk Manhattan DA's Case Against Trump, Dershowitz Says

Quote:

On Monday, former federal prosecutor Robert Costello testified in front of a Manhattan grand jury over matters related to a $130,000 hush money payment to a porn star in 2016. Costello told the jury that former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, expected to be Bragg's main witness in any case against Trump, "couldn't tell the truth if you put a gun to his head."
Quote:

"I think that Bragg now only has two possible results from that. Number one, he can say, 'alright, I'm going to try to make the case without Cohen.' He cannot use Cohen as a witness anymore. That would be unethical because of the testimony that Costello gave," Dershowitz said. "Or he could say, 'look, I have to drop the case.' He may not be able to make it without Cohen. But if he can't make it without Cohen, he can't make it, because no ethical prosecutor is allowed to put on as a witness somebody who has told the lies and has contradicted himself so much."
Quote:

Costello told the grand jury on Monday that Cohen had said that the hush money payments were his idea, not Trump's. Costello also lambasted prosecutors for "cherry-picking" evidence to show the grand jury that gave a false view of what actually happened. "They seemed clearly one-sided and not after the truth," Costello told The New York Times afterward.
Quote:

"I think that Bob Costello it's a game changer. I think maybe that's a reason for the delay here. I think ethical experts are now telling Bragg, 'wait a minute, you cannot use Cohen,'" said Dershowitz. "But if you can't make it without Cohen, you cannot bring this charge."

I have been unimpressed with DeSantis response to the left concerning the Trump arrest. Typical blowhard, much like his stance on arming Ukraine. I am expecting a "I was against it before I was for it" statement before too long.

Stupid take. He explicitly said it is bull**** and nothing but politcal bull**** all while finally taking a shot at Trump for Trump's stupid ***** Either you're a liberal trying to cast doubt on DeSantis or you're a Trump is the only way type.

Either way, your take is moronic.

Trump absolutely wants to be indicted. It is the ultimate martyr move for him and possibly the only thing that might give him a chance in '24 bc there will likely be a defacto rally around him (well not him but on behalf of republicans in general to defend against this political attack). Of all the things he could be indicted on, this is the most ridiculous one.

Peanuts compared to the millions the Dems have raked in by promising their supporters to 'get' Trump.

Trump doesn't need the money, but I'm sure this Manhattan DA and others know they can move up the ladder with this these wasted witch hunts...because there are people willing to pay for more of it.

He was able to raise 1.5 million just by saying it was gonna happen.

I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled.

Is it a Brady violation in front of a grand jury? I thought a prosecutor could selectively present whatever evidence they wanted to a grand jury?

I will say at it again…

We, as a country, should not be indicting a former president of any crimes short of murder or high treason, and if those are indeed the charges, there better be rock-solid, indisputable evidence that is beyond reproach…

This is not good news for Trump

1. it is just another example of him crying wolf and raising hysteria and then nothing happens

2. he is counting on sympathy from his Always Fans to help his campaign

3. he likely designed the entire post about Bragg just to bring DeSantis to his defense, or to be able to attack DeSantis for NOT coming to his defense

4. Trump wants to be charged with a very weak case, so that when he wins he can then say that EVERY case against him is just politics
