If you've got a great "family pit" good for you. But quit pretending that facts don't exist.
While it's very sensational when it happens, it's still pretty rare.
Over 17K people die every year in the US from slipping, tripping, and falling...we should outlaw walking.
Context does matter a little.
If they were an airplane, very few would board. It's all you need to know. I don't care of slips. I care about the most dangerous dogs and that's the discussion we're having. It seems lost on you.
Hell, this board is HEAVILY pro-gun. But, accidental discharges are WAY more dangerous than dogs. But, that's not sensational.
But, I get that context is immaterial to this thread so I'm going to bail on it...
Only 6% of dog owners have pit bulls. The vast majority of people won't come in close proximity to one. However, if you do, you better have your head on a swivel and be ready. Context does matter. Also, if your child plans on visiting a friend's house you might want to find out what kind of dog they have. If you are walking your dog and see a pit bull off leash get the F out of there.
So...keep your head on a swivel when you visit them.
shocker: if you have friends with a pool you're statistically more apt to drown.
Again never advocated for a ban. But continue your factless diatribe.
