Yep.

And I think we need to do this in Texas likely, too: January 19th update: De Santis looking into 'services' state universities are offering those suffering from gender dysphoria.

Quote:

The DeSantis administration is requesting information from state universities regarding "services" reportedly offered to those suffering from gender dysmorphia, as the administration said it is its duty to ensure that Florida's laws are being "faithfully executed."

The Executive Office of the Governor memo, from Chris Spencer, Office of Policy and Budget, addressed to the chairs of all state university boards of trustees, first validates the request, plainly noting that state universities are part of the executive branch of the state government, as are the university board of trustees.

The governor's office wrote that it has been made aware of "several" state universities providing "services" to those suffering from general dysmorphia, and it therefore needs more information on what, exactly, those services entail.

For instance, the administration is requesting the number of interactions between health care providers and patients for the purpose of "sex-reassignment treatment or where such treatment was sought," with a few sub-questions under that category, including the facilities that these patients were referred to for sex-reassignment "treatment."

The office is also asking for the number of individuals who were prescribed puberty blockers, hormones, and hormone antagonists with an age breakdown for each category. Further, the administration is asking for the number of individuals who underwent actual medical procedures, which include mastectomies, breast augmentations, orchiectomies, penectomies, vaginoplasties, hysterectomies, metoidioplasties, vaginectomies, salpingo-oophorectomies, phalloplasties, and scrotoplasties with a breakdown by age.

The administration is also inquiring whether these individuals received "behavioral health treatments" prior to their first procedure and the time frames associated with such.

The administration is seeking this information from January 1, 2018, to present day.
Hoo boy, if Wheels launched such an inquiry that included a certain school in Austin...there would be much gnashing of teeth.

HB 631, filed by House Rep. Steve Toth (R-The Woodlands), said discussions on sexual orientation and gender identity aren't allowed in the classroom from kindergarten through fifth grade. Meanwhile, HB 1155, filed by House Rep. Jared Patterson (R-Frisco), would restrict discussion of these topics from kindergarten through eighth grade.

It's absurd this even needs to be a law.

I absolutely hate the title of this topic. As with the "Parental Rights in Education" bill in Florida, there is NOTHING in this proposed bill that said what you say it is. Continuing to propagate the lie about the intention of this bill, as was done with the Florida bill, is an injustice and needs to stop. What's even crazier is you support the content of the bill but malign it by calling by a name it's opponents use to mislead the public.

You can go in the opposite direction and call it the Anti-Grooming Bill. Controlling the language is a powerful step.

Interesting link. I didn't realize the parental consent that has been passed for sex ed requirements is right now only temporary/thru 2024.

Exactly, no point in going further down this road imho with folks who are just really emotional about public school teachers possibly not being permitted in the future to discuss human sexuality/GLBTQ propaganda with kids in elementary schools.

Bringing up the lies about the Florida bill is funny to me though. Ron DeSantis was an absolute monster destroying the clownish liar who brought up this bs to his face with the cameras on:

That's how it's done, boys and girls.

This is how you lose the gay vote, which would love to vote Republican, in a national election.
Glad you acknowledge how important the gay community thinks teaching sexuality/gender ID to 3-8 year olds is. Disgusting.
We still don't have an answer as to why the gay community thinks it is so important to teach this to kids who are just learning to tie their shoes.
And the question still isn't answered.
Being in TexAgs jail changes a man……..no, not really

The answers are pretty clear, though again not all in the 'community' of gay people are of course in agreement.

I won't post the link as it is obscene/beyond this site's TOS I believe but at that twitter feed they show a clip of a 'drag show' with a child in attendance yesterday in Austin.

Texas needs Gov. Abbott and our legislators to step up and do more.
