FBI directed Indiana stop to see photos of his hands. Sounds like the case was initially built around genealogical DNA (I'm assuming they've tested his DNA by now)

Plane is over Idaho. Looked to be making a beeline for Pullman/Moscow area, but just took a turn due west.

Still descending, but they appear to be bypassing Lewiston. Looking for a turn to towards the north.

Now leveled off at 5,000 feet. I don't know where he's heading.

This is what I assumed. You don't get pulled over twice that quickly for things like following a truck too closely.

Doubtful he was feeling heat. Not in Indiana. Had he been stopped in Idaho on the first leg of the trip? Yeah, he would have.

Two stops though? You don't think he's thinking in his mind that the jig is up?

He's a PhD student in criminology. Random stops are part of being on the run. Stay cool and you get away most of the time. Freak out and run, you do not. And he had his dorky Dad with him.

Thinks he has a good cover.

Thinking the first stop, they didn't get enough clear shots of his hands. I am assuming he be right handed.

Must have found his blood at the house.

Hope he demands a speedy trial.

Do you remember that horribad Mel Brooks movie, High Anxiety? By being obnoxious, people ignored Mel and Madeline. That worked back then in crowds but just being cool with one cop on a traffic stop? Easier.

Quote:

Perhaps even scarier than American law enforcement accessing your DNA is when foreign governments obtain your genetic information. Fox News reports that China has the largest DNA database in the world. Included are millions of Chinese citizens whose genetic information is used by the authoritarian government to maintain its rigid surveillance state. However, countless Americans are likely part of China's DNA database, too.

According to Gordon Chang, author of "The Coming Collapse of China," China has been "buying American companies which have DNA profiles, subsidizing DNA analysis for ancestry companies, and hacking." That means sending your DNA to an American company could risk landing your genetic information in the hands of the United States' greatest foreign adversary.
Quote:

During the early years of social media, no one could have predicted the kind of power Big Tech companies would wield over freedom of expression. Nor could we have imagined the sinister collusion between federal agencies and social media companies to silence political enemies of the left, engage in government psychological operations, and interfere in elections. Just as social media sites have been, DNA profiling will likely be abused in ways we are not yet aware of.

With millions of users submitting their genetic information, we're slowly heading toward a national DNA database. Unfortunately, the law is not caught up with the science and no one is safe. While the arrest of a suspect is a victory for law enforcement and a comfort to the victims' families, it is also a reminder that we need to address the growing issue of DNA privacy, sooner rather than later.
ugh.

Fox reported over 19,000 followed the flight.

This trial will rival OJ trial in public interest. A soulless Jack the Ripper type butchering young folks in their bed as they slept. Not a crime of passion but a brutal cold blooded massacre by a soulless jerk.

Animal will have his day in court but much like all cowardly killers, a cold slab and poison needle destiny awaits him.

Man that will be a tough case to try. Move venue out of Moscow but voir dire will be brutal.

I watched the Halderoson trial in MN. Guy murdere his parents and partially burned their bodies after cutting them up. His PD defense team did the bare minimum, I mean bare minimum to defend him. And the prosecution came thiiiiiis close to getting a mistrial anyway because they were stupid and opened that door.

Folks, no such thing as slam dunk case. Not with a jury.
