Couple of notes on this:Bag said:I would argue he was pulled over because he was driving a make and model of a car that the entire world was looking for.HtownAg92 said:
It would have to be, wouldn't you think? Most people probably go years without being pulled over by not driving like a fleeing murderer. To get stopped 2 times on one trip doesn't seem like something that normally would happen.
That training appears to be ripe for abuse. Not sure what the "suspicious behaviors" entails, but it seems the police could claim it for anything, like slamming on the brakes when entering a speed trap.
The LEAs put out request for help on the white elantra on December 7th.
- They may have already had BK IDd as a suspect at that time and were surveilling him to gain further evidence for guilty conviction in his response to the BOLO on the car. Body Cam footage from the MIP/PI officers so close to house and time could have been the original source for the Elantra and identified much earlier. Vids looked edited to me and they never provided original source of the Elantra.
- If your one of 90 owners in the area, likely 89 of you called it in stating hey I have that car and here is my story. BK not calling in his own car is evidence but I also won't be surprised if he did and gave a BS alibi.
- Or they may have not known BK as suspect at that time but given tips on who has white Elantra even campus parking pass info could have found relatively quickly. A motivated team could have gone through those rather quickly especially prioritizing male owners which might drop that 90 by 75-95%+ with crossing off after vetting owners who did already call on themselves.
December 8th an odd makeup of LEAs (feds) go through the incident house for less than an hour taking nothing in nor out. Significant effort to hide faces. FWIW I believe LEA had their suspect IDd or were getting very close as of this date and this team was on station to surveil and or possibly make an arrest in the coming days. The house visit being a get to know your enemy action.
December 17th supposed arrival in PA via drive with father. Google maps states 37 hour drive. 2 drivers likely means left Pullman on the 13th or 14th December. CNN states authorities followed them home but not LEA confirmed yet.
IF IDd on the 8th from car or DNA that gave investigators only 5-6 days to build case/evidence against him for warrant before his departure from WA/ID. That's not a lot without a smoking gun. Thats going back through all evidence to date and more from weeks before Nov 13th working to build a timeline of BKS actions and whereabouts that both proves guilt directly and or leads to more evidence such as an odd drive out to deep lake. This is way more intensive/complicated than looking for owner of white elantra.
December 30th arrested. So 13 more days of surveillance in PA while investigators locally in ID/WA continue to build case plus slow down at holidays.
BK lawyer states two traffic stops occurred in IN almost back to back. This could have been pure coincidence as many have reported IN is known as a trap and they do this to keep DWI other crimes to a minimum often pulling over without citation given. ISP has stated they have no record of the stops buy this does not mean they did not occur. This also could have been a directed stop by the investigative team either for a response that helps prove guilt and or various other reasons. This not out of the ordinary, but given the delay in the arrest from 17 to 30th likely just a coincidence or he was a very very cool cat during those stops.
A few more days and we should all know for sure once he has had his initial appearance in ID. I suspect he is looking for his one day of fame as an evil piece of ***** Either way once he enters prison he will be the prey not the predator.
