That whole thing is a NOTHING BURGER.

Both sides - Trump and Desantis supporters need to let it go.

PS> Dems are laughing and loving the stupidity of Conservatives to always "fight" for what is right. This is for our supposed Conservative Leadership in this country:

Screw that: Our FIGHT IS WITH LIBERAL SOCIALISTS who want to enslave us with a govt overlord that decides where you live, what you live in, what "public transportation" you are allowed to take, what food you can eat and how much, who you can marry, how many kids you can have and what sexes (if they still have those anymore), what job you can have and how much you get paid (if you earn a salary), and how and when you will ultimately DIE.

So, yeah, keep fighting each other morons while Liberal Socialists keep taking us to the woodshed.

How about we do this instead: FOCUS ON CRUSHING SOCIALISTS FIRST. Then we can go back to fighting each other.

DeSantis hasn't said a dang thing about Trump. The only one attacking Republicans is Trump, and it's because he doesn't give a crap about anything other than Trump. .

Check that, I do think he cares about America, but that's insignificant to how much he cares about himself.

If you don't view him thru that lens you will never come close to understanding him. He's lashing out at DeSantis solely because he can't stand anyone praising someone besides Trump. It's pathetic.

I'm calling it now, Trump will lose the primary and he'll Ross Perot the general.
Remember that the evidence all shows that Ross Perot drew more votes from Clinton than from Bush. If Ross Perot had not run, Clinton would still have won.

The problem for conservatives like me, is Trump running as an independent if he loses the primary. If he truly cares about this country, he will not do that.
He truly cares about the country, but his megalomania causes him to think that he and he alone is the best thing for America, so I think him running as an Independent is likely if he loses the nomination.

I'm not sure how the GOP can stop that. And there is a significant percentage of people that will vote for him because they hate both the democratic and republican establishment almost equally.

I don't see any solution to the problem. If he gets the nomination, I don't think he can win. If he doesn't, the republicans can't win because he will run as an independent. Lose - lose.

The win for the GOP will happen if the Dems actually put him in jail, or the Biden Admin finds a way to constitutionally declare that he is unfit (as Biden hinted). The dems must be really conflicted about whether they make him a felon or not. Their debates on that must be epic.

Let's not act like the cream doesn't rise to the top. The republicans had umpteen candidates in 2016 and Trump went after each of them. Kamala called out Biden for his bussing policy and yet he picked her as VP. Competition is good, these people will call out and go after each other, at the end of the day it should get us to the best candidate. We don't need a Jeb, that's why those type of people aren't popular.

Facts may be available and I would love to see some facts on your claim. If proven true I will humbly beg your apology guvnah!

LOL, what a bunch of revisionist crap. I knew a LOT of Perot voters and not a one of them preferred Clinton over Bush Perot had a serious personal grudge against Bush and that is why he ran and later sabotaged his own campaign when he dropped out and got back in. He rarely said a bad word about Clinton but he went hard after Bush. Perot got almost 19% of the vote and got over 20% in a lot of swing states. No way would those votes have split evenly or even close to it.

I'm not convinced DeSantis can beat Trump in the primary. We have a clear leader in the GOP at this point with DeSantis. Trump needs to endorse him and then shut the **** up.

If he runs the waters will muddy and our chances in 2024 diminish

The only " evidence " is polling data that was taken at the same time when Perot was not included in the survey
Those polls showed Clinton getting more of a bump then bush. It also shows undecided getting a bump.

Perot had two major campaign points
Bush breaking his pledge on Taxes and NAFTA. Neither of those groups are slam dunk R constituencies

Some people don't get that the vast majority of us voted for Trump (in the General) as a compromise because we agreed on certain policy priorities. It wasn't because we really wanted a New Yorker ex-democrat speaking for us.

Pffft, that's a horrible take that's simply reaching to find a reason to excuse Trump's behavior.

If Trump has put out nice, rational, non-***head statements over the past 24-48 hrs but the media just won't play them up, then where are those statements? Trump has his own social media platform for ****s sake, lol, so go to Truth and pull up those nice, logical, sane messages. Show me some mature messages that congratulate the winners without claiming all the credit for himself, or messages that are meant to build up the Rep party and America instead of tear it down so it can be rebuilt with him as the messiah.

Also, this notion that somebody who runs is stealing votes is asinine.

The citizen owns the vote, not the second choice candidate with a third party running.

If they had been the better candidate, then that person would have voted for them.

I dont know how that explains his presidency

Maybe you could do some good tin hatting and sya he is doing this to avert any potential criminal liability from Jan 6 or top secret docs or something
I was the one who stated that and let me clarify-

the last two years since the 2020 election campaign- if Trump was a Manchurian democrat candidate, would he be doing anything differently than he did?

we can throw in locking us down for "14 days to the curve" and pushing the vaccines and empowering Fauci- all things that DeSantis fought tooth and nail in Florida

Simplistic take that's grasping at straws at this point. You seriously think that everybody is rational and selfless with their vote?

There are Trunp fanboys (and fangirls) who will vote for him even if Jesus came down from Heaven and said, "Thou shall not vote for Trump!". Just like there are devotees of Bernie and other politicians who will vote for their candidate simply because they've tied up too much of their own identity and pride into him and can't admit their initial analysis ended up being wrong.

My vote belongs to me.
Not a candidate.

If Bernie runs, so what? How many people would have given their vote to the more conservative candidate?

It is only simplistic to people who think someone is owed a vote. No, they aren't.

I vote for the person I think is most representative of what I believe or how I want this country to be run, not who has the best chance of winning.
