Fair enough. You think that even if he gives a plan to tear apart the swamp that is understandable he cannot win. I get that and pretty much agree. With the caveat being that democrats have learned how to harvest votes and game the system.

That being said, it is the same environment Desantis would be thrown into. We can't battle mail in votes. So in reality, no matter how great our candidate is, it won't matter if mail in votes can trickle in and erode physical votes at a polling station.

Democrats will never let go of power, doesn't matter who runs as long as they lean left. They have a system and it works for them.

The problem for conservatives like me, is Trump running as an independent if he loses the primary. If he truly cares about this country, he will not do that.

Not the vast majority of conservatives as they would have just gone though a brutal primary season and would have most likely nominated DeSantis. He'd have zero base. He's not Ross Perot who had appeal among independents and moderate Democrats and Republicans.

No, Trump's base is rapidly shrinking and the more he keeps up these attacks on other Republicans the more likely it is that he is irrelevant come 2024.
