Yes, the rules should be different for us.
I simply can't imagine ever thinking or typing this with a straight face.
Let me help you out: Flip the demographics and political affiliation of the person in question and just about everyone on this board would be. I know because I've seen them do it.
Happy to help
Here's my thing when it comes to her. I don't care about her politics, who she sleeps with, or anything else. If we bring her home tomorrow or she serves her whole sentence, the way I feel wouldn't change one bit. I just find it hilarious that she has/d a problem with this country because she thought she was somehow oppressed because she's black and gay.
How in the fook is she oppressed? She has an althletic gift from God that very few in the world have, and she's been treated differently her whole life because of it. She may not make the money NBA players do, but she still makes a lot more that majority of Americans, and that's not taking into account any endorsement deals she undoubtably has. When her playing career is over, she'll land some cush six figure job with ESPN as an announcer or analyst covering the WNBA and continue cashing checks. And we all know she'll parlay this whole thing into a seven figure book/movie deal and be set for life.
You'd think that'll be enough to make her see how blessed she really is, but it isn't. When you've been given everything your whole life, you become oblivious to the day-to-day struggles people of every race/gender/sexual orientation/etc face, so you find things to complain about and to be a victim of. Now, she's seeing what real oppression looks like. What a corrupt government can and will do to people, and I find it hilarious.
I hope this whole ordeal changes her tune and she see's just how great this country is and how it has given her an opportunity to get a college education and to make a lot of money by just being good at playing a game. But I doubt it. She'll probably go even futher left and somehow find a way to blame someone other than herself for what happened to her.
