But she thinks she can run for President in 2024.

She will create an exploratory commission to spend the rest of her campaign funds. Whether she actually runs remains to be seen.

I'm not a fan of "registered voter" polls in general, however, they are usually skewed toward the democrat side of things. So this poll is encouraging. I wouldn't put money on it, though.

It has nothing to do with her being anti-Trump per say. If all she ever did was say she didn't like Trump, his policies, etc. most people would disagree with her and that's it. She'd likely still win reelection.

Instead she has turned into a female version of Adam Schiff, totally consumed with Trump Derangement Syndrome, and willing to destroy as many innocent people as possible simply to destroy Donald Trump.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

If you think what she's doing on the committee is right, then you have no sense of right and wrong at all. This Stalin-esque show trial is a complete travesty, and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional. Cheney will get a little bit of justice served to her on primary day, but nothing like she deserves.

There were widespread calls for bipartisan investigations immediately after 1/6, but most Republicans backed off after getting pressured by Trump and his supporters. It's no trial, it's a congressional investigation where the vast majority of the testimony is coming from members of Trump's administration. If you haven't seen any testimony that makes your hair stand on end, that's on you...but like many posters in this forum, you haven't paid any attention to the hearings, so why would I expect you to have learned anything from them?

You don't learn anything from a show-trial where no one is challenging the evidence. That's what Pelosi wanted, so she vetoed McCarthy's choices for the Republican members of the committee, an unprecedented move in the history of the House. It is a complete sham of hearsay testimony from biased witnesses that is never challenged because that's the way Pelosi wanted it. I read summaries of what happens in the committee, and every alleged bombshell that they come up with ends up being full of holes. This is only convincing the gullible or the folks who are so convinced that Trump is guilty of every evil deed imaginable: which of those describes you?

If they really wanted to investigate January 6, you'd start with finding out why Pelosi rejected Trump's offer of the National Guard; why the Capitol Hill police were so unprepared; why the police let protesters in; what paid informants were among the mob that entered the building; etc, none of which will be touched upon in this dog and pony show.

A very very one sided Congressional Committee. Nancy Pelosi selected every member of the committee even the Republicans which is unheard of. No rebuttal witnesses that will defend Trump have or will be called.

Lots of things are completely off limits for questions including why Nancy Pelosi turned down the National Guard protection or why doors were opened and protestors waved in. Thousands of Hours of video is not available for review.

Most of the witnesses had an ax to grind against Trump or were without a job and were probably promised one in exchange for testifying against Trump. Several of them were completely debunked within hours of testifying. The whole thing is choreographed and stage managed to make Trump and all Republicans look like terrible people.

This whole series of hearings is nothing but a Democrat Get out the vote campaign that is paid for with our tax dollars. It is disgraceful and a disgusting abuse of our money for purely political purposes.

I think we've isolated the problem.

There are multiple polls out there that contrast biggest issues to actual voters v. biggest issues to main stream media, coastal establishment types, and DC insiders.

The list of stuff that is a big issue to coastal elites, the main stream media and DC insiders is stuff like January 6, roe v. wade, prolonging covid nonsense, and gun control.

Then there's the real world. The stuff we're concerned about is $5/gallon gas, the fact that my weekly grocery bill has doubled, inflation run amok, the economy teetering on the brink armageddon, and oh, lets not forget, due to the gross incompetence and negligence of the current administration, we stranded Americans citizens and billions in military equipment in Afghanistan and their current foreign policy positions have lead us to the brink of WWIII.

We aren't paying attention because (1) we have bigger problems and (2) its a sham. As to (2) if it wasn't a sham, they'd be working out in the open and the public would have complete access to all data (cough cough cameras) and the "republicans" on the committee wouldn't have been hand-picked by Nancy Pelosi.

or to put it more succinctly:

An investigation run by a single political party where the GOP had no input on who got put on the committee in which testifying individuals who have a vested interest in ingratiating themselves to the current administration claim to have heard someone else say incriminating things only to have those claims be debunked by those who were "quoted".

Sounds totally legit.

I think we should totally trust it to be nonpartisan. It is most definitely not be a political witchhunt like the Russian lie which also originated in the establishment GOP. It s origins are totally different in that the Russian lie was something that someone heard from someone else and was reported in the papers and needed investigating because of the reports in the papers which actually were manufactured political newsplants designed to spur an investigation and smear a sitting president.

Yeah.....this doesn't sound at all similar to THAT.
