Yeah I heard about this a while back.

I was bummed because I was initially excited about Lightyear and now we can't watch it, at least until my children are older or we are at home when I can skip those parts.

I cancelled Hulu live & espn plus since it was tied to a Disney sub… I definitely won't be paying for Disney movies or buying Disney products

We saw a preview this weekend and kids want to go see it...some moms are taking kids on Friday but we will not be taking our kids....

I was already against it when they cancelled Tim Allen for voicing conservative views outside of his work. Add the intentional grooming targeted at children and that's all a hard pass for me.



But it was another great opportunity to teach my kids though. Gave them the choice of whether they see it, told them the main story is probably great and otherwise a good movie - but just like me they'd have to decide where they draw their lines as Christians. I personally don't love giving my money to people who push this kind of agenda.

I listen to a lot of music that honestly has horrible moral messages. That's a choice. Every once in a while we'll stop the music and reflect - it's difficult to be in the world but not of the world.

So if there is a silver lining to companies like Disney being so out in the open with their grooming - even a very young person can see and understand what they are trying to do

The real test will be who is seeing it this weekend on wether this is a flop. Not a lot of kids movies lately, so despite mediocre reviews, it will probably make money as parents seek relief from the heat wave across much of America.

You also need to not watch ABC, Nat Geo, Marvel and about 8 or so other networks, film franchises, etc. it's not hard to find the list.

disney hates Tim Allen so much they are doing a santa clause series with him on Disney plus.

Toys often don't have the actual person it is based on voice it?

I do think it is because he sounds older and Buzz is younger and more youthful than Tim is now.

Instead - Read a good book out loud to your child.

A book that everyone forgets because of all of the dumb movies - but is probably one of the best written stories for kids (and Adults) I have ever read is "The Story of Doctor Dolittle by Hugh Lofting" (1920). My boy laughed and laughed at the animal characters.

Seriously - your kids will remember this far longer than some stupid disney movie.

That's like saying, "oh, x voiced the cartoon in black and white and y voiced the character in color".

its not like saying that at all.

the tim allen version is supposed to be a toy. the evans version is supposed to be a real person.

agree or disagree with the decision, I'd have gone with allen, but its not remotely close to saying one B&W and one color.
