Let me assure you that much of this is BS. I have no doubt some certain elements of this story are accurate though, but oher parts are not. No agents in Texas haven approached by the company and asked to promote this rubbish.

So State Farm being so inclusive and welcoming and all, do you think if you tell your agent you identify as a woman or are transitioning from man to woman they will lower your auto coverage rate?

Sure and tell tell them your teen identifies as a thirty year old, so your rates should be reduced.

I'm not, I know for a fact. Again, I don't doubt elements of this story, but it's not entirely correct. State Farm is a huge corporation. There are a lot of employees. Some in a position of power take action and make decisions that are outside their authority. No e-mail like the one described by in the Fox story was ever sent to agents in Texas. Period. Didn't happen. This is not a company wide program. I'm not even sure if it was authorized, but it definitely was not going on here.

It's a pretty easy business to move - and I'm assuming at least 30% of my collective premiums are going to gross profits. If I feel confident about the company and agent I'm moving to - I could make that shift.

The problem in most of these cases (like banking) is finding one that isn't bending the knee to liberalism

Doesn't matter if it "isn't going on here" - it's being endorsed by the D&I group (or was) and therefore the Company. She had to walk it back with a non-apology apology. They aren't sorry they did it, they are sorry they were caught.

This is going on in companies everywhere. The good news is, many companies are avoiding these issues by not making D&I executives too powerful. Unfortunately, ESG is making companies fall all over themselves to push this kind of garbage.

Texas agents had no idea what was happening. Not sure that makes it any better but they found out the same way everyone else did.

Edit to add: But all agents will have to answer for this. That's a terrible move for the Bloomington people to put the agents in.

Did you read the words "in florida" in the OP? If not, go back to the OP and reread the tweet. It makes sense that you wouldn't see this in Texas, its because it is in response to a law in Florida. Just because it is regional doesn't make it an executive decision. The email clearly states they are cool with kids being transitioned but just don't want to empower teachers. They just want to empower the parents.

It is a terrible move by Bloomington people, and the agents should have to answer for it. The customer base should good and well let the agents know what they think of this rubbish.

People need to stand up and be vocal that this is unacceptable, we will not sit idly by.

Stand up, be heard. Make sure everyone knows that it is a fraction of a percent of people who are Ok with this. Stop mainstreaming non normal deviant behavior.

Gender Curriculum

State Farm Agents

From:
Victor Terry, Chief Diversity Officer & Vice President Public Affairs

State Farm's support of a philanthropic program, GenderCool, has been the subject of news and customer inquiries. This program that included books about gender identity was intended to promote inclusivity.

Conversations about gender and identity should happen at home with parents. We don't support required curriculum in schools on this topic. We support organizations providing resources for parents to have these conversations.

We will no longer support that program. We will continue to explore how we can support organizations that provide tools and resources that align with our commitment to diversity and inclusion.

We recognize and value the diversity of all people, and support a culture of respect and inclusion in the communities in which we live and work, as well as our workplace.

The agents are already in Bloomington's ear and think more like you and me than the dip****s who made this decision to participate in wokeness. All I'm saying is the agents did nothing to bring this on - they were in the dark. Trust me, the people in Bloomington are insulated from their customers....but not so much their agency force.

Better still, stand up to these idiots, stop pandering, and don't have a chief diversity officer.

This is a real problem for these agents as they're all independent business owners. When people cancel their insurance, it creates real financial issues for the agencies, specifically payroll. The agents were in management's ear and the apology was issued shortly after agents across the country learned about the story. This is a terrible look and the agents are thoroughly pissed as their values more closely resemble ours than the company's.
Conspiracies are the norm, not the exception.

You are 100% right

But those executives need to be held accountable

It's not okay.
And I'll be saying that too with farmers I'm sure.

For the life of me, I can't understand why any business selling any product would willingly take a stand on either side of any divisive political issue. Why can't they just focus on offering the best product/service possible? If I'm running a business, I want everyone's money. I don't want to piss off half my potential customer base. Why is this so hard to do?

The obvious exception would be if your business caters to some niche that is overwhelmingly polarized politically.

A whole lot of right wing people are going to start doing exactly this now with the companies they work for. You can be certain I'll do exactly the same with the corporation I work for as well. I will not tolerate this garbage in my company and will blow the lid off the entire situation.

Focus on your industry and shut the **** up about politics.

It says Exclusive benefit of a single political, social, or missionary organization so I guess if you donate books to a school it can't piss off 50% of the people.

So f'kin ignorant. The original Jake was in fact a call center employee. He had no prior acting experience and wasn't exactly a natural at it. He hasn't done any paid acting work since. You can't build a national marketing campaign with that guy.
