Not sure. I guess it shows that she lied about making the donation. Goes back to her saying that she said she donated everything in statements on TV and I believe in the UK trial.

Probably around that same pledge versus donation as well as a possible miscommunication/lie from Heard.

Branca and rekieta are speculating it might have been about witness tampering? Frankly, when I was listening to it, my thought was a blackmail payoff? Very confusing.

Depp's team is going to try to pull in TMZ reporter to testify as to their source of the leaked video. TMZ legal response is being reviewed by Emily Baker. They obviously don't want to be forced to reveal the source. Going to be an interesting day tomorrow.

The TMZ motion is weird. They specifically refer to attempts to "impeach the defendant."

Meh, that's normal for LA. Every tabloid has ringers at courthouses.

Back in the old days, how did Woodward even get onto Watergate? He was a reporter on the metro beat, sitting in a courthouse during an arraignment and noticed that the "burglars" were dressed in suits. Kind of odd, no?

LOL. Had a case when "scintilla of evidence" became a "chinchilla of evidence."

There was a case, antitrust and trade secrets case, that my employing law firm won for a big client. He had a plaque made with the weird quotes from the case. That was one. I also remember that opposing counsel tried to "serve" a subpoena by phone call to a person in another state* in the middle of the night.

*Okay busted. We knew they had not subpoenaed him yet but would likely do so. He "took a last minute vacation" to Colorado, to go skiing in a person's personal condo for no charge, that I may or may not have known.

The process of filing of the TRO was odd. Emily Baker (former LA ADA) talked about it. I haven't gone back to watch her clip where she discusses it, but she suggests a lot of weirdness.

No need to file in person. No paparazzi hang out at that courthouse. Someone in clerk's office might leak but that's going to take time.

Press were there so quickly and she was dressed for the part. She or someone in her camp likely tipped them off.

Having watched this whole thing, Depp's expert witnesses have been more credible and relatable than Heard's experts. In a case where experts clash as much as here, it really comes down to a popularity contest as to which expert is believed and weighted more by the jury.

Yeah. When this Doctor was first on the stand, Heard's attorney, Elaine, spent a long time questioning her about the muffins her husband had bought for her court ordered session with Amber. What the point of that was lost on me but it was apparently significant to Team Amber for some reason. And voila! Dr. Muffins was coined by the lawtubers.

It almost seems that Depp's experts seem to be true experts. I thought that Curry on cross got a little snippy with Heard's team, but after the muffin questions I think it was warranted.

Dr. Shaw yesterday was far more believable than Dr. Speigle. The consultant Heard's team used got eviscerated. The transaction lawyer and accountant essentially laughed at everything. Combined with the fact that the head boss of WB's DC division said that she had zero chemistry with Mamoa combined for an awful day for Heard.

I still think that neither side is going to win a monetary settlement. However I think that Johnny did what he wanted, which was to restore his name as a non-abusive (to his spouse) person. He is Jack Sparrow during his everyday life (which is why he was so good at the role), but I am about 98% sure that he didn't abuse Amber Heard.

That completely depends on which types of behavior one considers abuse. For me, that includes emotional and verbal abuse. Both dished that out to each other in spades. Just a toxic relationship all the way around.

Very true. I should have clarified as "physical". Both were absolute crap for each other. It is why I think neither will get a dime, but Johnny will work again, not sure about Heard.

No idea how much time they have left but Elaine is burning too much time here. Horrible lawyering and time management.

Andrea is on Rekieta's stream saying there is another surprise witness, maybe the cop that arrested Amber in 2009 over her hitting her former partner? Not sure the door has been opened enough but up to the judge.

Depp says the first time he saw Waldman's statements was when Heard countersued him. He's likely lying of course because someone around him was following all of the PR surrounding the UK court case.

I've managed to escape/ignore most of this trail, but I succumbed to curiosity this morning and have tuned in for the last 15 minutes or so. It's a nice distraction from recent events.

I have two observations:

1) Amber Heard must be a terrible actress because her facial expressions are terribly off putting

2) If I were in the jury I would be exploring options to sue them both for pain and suffering for having to sit through this.
