Can we entertain the thought that SOME Ukrainian people may want this? The entire eastern region was in conflict because SOME of the population wanted to join Russia. What evidence do we have that this is forced?

I could envision a scenario where some Ukrainians believe the propaganda and think they are moving to Glorious Workers Paradise. However, I suspect that a lot of the shine has come off the Russian penny since they raped and murdered their way across the country they were supposedly liberating.
