Just want you to see the mess these despicable people leave behind but that’s ok. The less disciplined they are the easier it is to track them down. They may as well shoot a flare for us pic.twitter.com/NEvsTjL3KY

No needles but plenty of empty liquor bottles which emboldens them to torment the residents. I’ve heard first hand stories of things I would rather not repeat and wish I never heard.

Why nailing Moskva was vital to the Ukrainian airpower in the South & Black Sea.

Via DM:
"She carries 64 S-300's, she's basically a massive area denial asset for Ukrainian aviation in the south. If she's down, they're going to swarm that front with air support."

Everyone give Jason Lancaster's article over at Cimsec a close look 'cause he called this Ukrainian Neptune cruise missile shot yesterday.

He earned his day in the sun today as an analyst as much as Ukraine has earned a blood price from Russia.👏

That may be a bunch of cruise missiles at the bottom and not on civilian target....you just hate to see it. Good chance the ISR bird found its prey for the good guys.txags92 said:
Would love to see the Ukrainians send back a morse code message in cyrillic saying "Russian Warship, Go F*** Yourself!"

Highly unlikely lots of sonar and other things going on there. It's possible with Turkish cooperation of course, but it would be unsafe and my trust in Navy seamanship is pretty low after the last few years.one MEEN Ag said:

yea, that was my thought too. i'm no expert, but my understanding is that a sub hides from passive sonar by being quiet and from active sonar by avoiding it (going wide or deep). And that strait doesn't leave much room to avoid. (max depth in that channel is only 360 ft)aezmvp said:Highly unlikely lots of sonar and other things going on there. Very doubtful we placed a sub there before Turkey shut them down. And can never get a carrier into the Black Sea, too big to get through the straits.agent-maroon said:
Do we actually need to place a boomer in the Black Sea or is the sub entering the Mediterranean at Gibralter mostly to send a message?
And might we have a sub in the Black Sea already?

first, if the tweet is accurate, its a SSGN which is not a boomer (ballistic missile sub SSBN) but a cruise missile sub.agent-maroon said:

think air lock but for a submarine. let's divers in and out while the sub is submerged. Also, to the SEAL question, aren't dry deck shelter's how they house and launch the SDVs?aggiehawg said:Pardon my ignorance here but can you expound on this?Rossticus said:
