Agreed on all, but 50 BTG's out of action seems reasonable. If their casualties are at 45k-ish, that's basically all of 50 BTG's right there. Spread that across everything Russia has, and they could realistically have 30+% losses on 50 BTG's.

I don't know what we would do but I hope we'd retaliate conventionally. Sink their navy, massive missile strikes, etc. Leave the nuclear option for a strike on NATO

Overwhelming conventional response. You have no choice. If he's willing to deploy a nuke on Europe's front doorstep then he's willing to do it elsewhere.
If you don't respond then you establish tactical nuclear deployments as a viable strategy for him in the future, which he'll consider much more readily.
If there are no consequences and he achieves a favorable outcome then why WOULDN'T he do it again? Why would ANY individual with his mindset NOT do it.

China wants to see how their tech matches up. Just about plan on it already being there though like missued given the lack of training overall within the Russian army.
China will do what they always do...play both sides.
They'll make money selling weapons to Russia, and when it's all over, they'll profit from the rebuild in Ukraine.
