Edit: at roughly 22sec mark you can see a Russian squad behind that BTR. Don't think they faired too well after taking fire from under the BTR.

I watched RT News yesterday to see how they're reporting this. The crawler along the bottom said things like (paraphrasing)

"Ukraine troops surrendering in Donbass"
"Slain NYT journalist killed while not on assignment…Unknown assailant"
"Ukrainians using civilians as human shields"
"...planting land mines in residential areas"

etc. etc.

Not surprising, they are at war and will spin to make anything look like it's not their fault. Conversely, Ukraine and the west definitely have done the same.

If Ukrainian troops are surrendering in Donbas, which certainly could be true, you think Ukraine is going to corroborate that?

Bottom line is, both sides are telling half-truths and the only truth that no one can deny is that war is awful.

BMP2/3 gun camera. That's a 30mm gun doing work. They have at least FLIR cameras on their armor for NV, both sides.

Doesn't sound like a tracked vehicle to me. From the comments, it's claimed to be a BTR-4 which would make sense.

It is amazing that people who lived under the Soviet Union and should know full well the bias and unreliability of state news continue to look to state news for information. They were told for years all of these lies about the West and the glory of Soviet Russia, only for them to come undone with the fall of the Soviet Union, and yet they still go back to the liars as if something has changed and they're now completely honest.
