If the losses of the Russian equipment and soldiers from these Twitter reports are even close to accurate then Putin has to be reeling.

Most news outlets make it sound like the Russians are advancing well and that Kiev will eventually fall. Two things for sure, the Ukes were absolutely underestimated and the Russians aren't a threat outside of Nukes. Tactically this incompetence is mind blowing.

And this map shows that there easily could have been that many helicopters there to have been destroyed. Also this was one of the very first airfields seized by the Russians. Good for the Ukes.

I don't see where it says unguided munitions, the Ukes have Harpoon missiles that could have done the job

In the linked video. It's a salvo of rockets. Unless they popped off 15 guided missiles (they use the Neptune, a local variety of Russian anti-ship missile AS-20 'Kayak') then it's a MLRS.

Doubt that war will pop off again very soon - the nation is galvanized against Russia and with replenishment they should be ready for any fight. However there should be no clause against arming and training. Imagine a year or two of more advanced training, new AF, and more armaments. Including NATO advisors. It would only be worse for Russia to renegade. Russia would have no say if we sold the Ukes older patriot systems. Meanwhile they struggle to replace what was lost let alone the burden now shifted to their people.

I mean at this point if your the Ukes, you may actually have the upper hand in these negotiations. Russia could keep bombing cities but economically they can't keep this up and both sides know it. Don't let them off the hook easily for what they've done. Make a deal now just to stop fighting and they'll regroup and be back in a year.

That's more or less the status quo, right? Crimea has been gone from under Ukrainian control for 8 years, the breakaway regions were acting as independents already, and Ukraine wasn't in NATO anyway. That's a huge change of tone from last round of negotiations where Russia wanted full surrender, regime change, demilitarization, and whatever de-nazification is (probably something like "we're jailing anyone who doesn't roll over").

Supply chain and the weather is destroying Russian momentum. If that's truly what Russia holds to, this could be over in the next couple of days as the negotiations are about to start in Belarus again.

For Zelensky it's a matter of deciding if more innocent Ukrainian lives are worth fighting for Donbas which was essentially operating on its own for years. Ukraine wasn't in NATO, but their constitution allows it too. Honestly, agree and wait out Putin. He'll be dead in 3-5 years and then amend it again

Huge consessions from Russia.

I wonder if you could make Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk a demilitarized zone?

Maybe concede Crimea to Russia, but keep D and L as part of Ukraine, just demilitarized.

I do believe that this signals Russia is getting their ass handed to them.

What does "reject claims to enter any bloc" mean? We could pass an amendment not to 'enter into any bloc' too but the words sound pretty meaningless/vague.
