I kind of agree with this and hope it is the case, it's best just to do it and keep quiet about it and not broadcast everything to Putin and the Russians.

Wall Street Journal reporting that Russian oil sales have virtually stopped as buyers enact a "self-imposed" embargo, afraid to purchase oil that may run into trouble with sanctions on financing, shipping, etc. Banks are also refusing to finance purchases. Only India and China are buying limited amounts of oil from Russia. This is what's causing today's spike in prices for non-Russian oil.

Again, WW2 was different. UK and France had a treaty with Czechoslovakia. They reneged on it bc Hitler promises peace.

NATO refused Ukraine entry, years ago. The US could have made a bilateral treaty with Ukraine, but didn't. We effectively told Putin we don't care enough for Ukraine to fight for them.

IF Putin invades a NATO country, then the Munich analogy would apply.

I keep reiterating that there is no way Russian forces are going to be able to hold any appreciably sized territory that they may "take". No logistics, demoralized front line soldiers, Uke's getting more advanced weapons everyday and a fanatical populace. The whole thing is sad to watch; so useless.

Agree. The Ukrainians aren't going to let them institute some puppet government and just lie down/obey.

Going to get nasty and so many will continue to die in a worthless battle.

Fully agree. The invading is the easiest part and if they suck at that they have nowhere near the ability to manage an occupation.
