VERY unsubstantiated report I saw flit across YT of Ukrainian forces readying NBC gear suggesting they are at least thinking about chemical weapons.

Putin attacked, but no one is running away. Army, diplomats, everyone is working. Ukraine fights. Ukraine will defend itself. Ukraine will win.
Share the truth about Putin’s invasion in your countries and call on governments to act immediately.

Kharkiv was always going to fall quickly. It's just not possible to defend it in the initial wave for a country of Ukraine's military capabilities. They can win it back in a war of attrition, but that's about it.

What affects will this have at home? Rising gas prices for sure? Falling interest rates? Market crash? Housing market effects?

Russians need Kharkiv for their resupply operations. Big railhead there iirc.

Agreed. Just think it's undefendable for Ukraine at this time.

Gas is going to be over $100 per barrel. Market will assuredly react negatively. Possibly more negatively after Biden's sanctions tomorrow.
