Today? I think his career projection is at a halt. He will never go higher than senator.
He may stay senator for a while, but his presidency bout was pretty much over before and now it is DOA.
He needs to take back what he said, but I don't know what that will help.

Got to watch the whole clip. I agree the whole clip doesn't make it any better at all.

The worst part for Cruz later in the full clip was when Tucker cut him off from going in to a political spin speech with "I'm sorry but I just don't believe you!"

That is pretty strong and pretty remarkable from a guy that you texted and requested to come explain something on his show.

Also Cruz never had a very good answer about the mystery guy Epps that encourages people to go into the building the day before and the day of. He was on the FBI wanted list then he is removed. Then he is never arrested- Cruz immediately shifted to the current prisoner conditions. Not only did he not have a good answer he didn't seem to want to recognize the importance of who this guy is!!!

More going on that we just don't know in swamp - as usual.

DC should always be afraid of the people and their response. It is absolutely a good thing that people like Tucker have more influence than the entirety of the GOP.

These people are so detached from the average person now and have no real understanding of the sheer overwhelming anger about the Covid mandates and hysteria from their constituents. Add this to the border anger and you have a powder keg. They cannot fix these things with half-asses bills or speeches. Voting or introducing bills is no longer enough. The average person has been backed into a corner after being wounded, they really don't have any idea what is coming if they don't fix these problems.

I don't have your list and I don't care to provide one. I suspect more plebs like us will be running against these establishment goons moving forward and I'd vote for any of them.

I think Cruz would make a great vp or cabinet level official if he could be replaced with similar in the senate. Look at his voting record he is a consistent reliable conservative.

As VP you could wind him up and point him in the direction you want him to go. I can't think of too many people who would be a better attack dog than Ted Cruz.

Since this is more of a global indictment of all Republican swamp rats, let's not limit it to just Texas. I think this will demonstrate at an eye opening level just how bad our representatives are.

The only Republican Senator that I can say I admire is Rand Paul.

Conversely, Manchin has done more for me than any other Republican Senator in my lifetime.

Normal people need to get involved and run. I think there's going to be an increasing amount of plebs running against these people and I'd vote for them. I can tell you for sure this is happening at the local level and will spread to the federal.

I think it's safe to say that most people were disappointed in Cruz because he came across as just another politician - both on the Senate floor and in the interview.

It was an epiphany for many of his supporters.

I guess I am. It was a bone-headed thing to say, and he was called on it and went on national TV the next day to walk it back. Yet his original statement is still in the Record. Yet I tend to evaluate Cruz on the entirety of his tenure in the Senate.

I was not originally a Cruz supporter, but have come to realize that he has been an effective Senator. Much better than Cornyn. Everything I want and perfect? No, but I have trouble thinking of 5 other current Senators I'd rather have, much less anyone in the Texas bullpen to replace him.

So yes, I'll defend him against those trying to tear him down. He's not perfect, but he's one of the best we have right now.

This is what I was thinking as I listened to him. There is a lot of noise from the left about prosecuting or otherwise punishing sitting Republican representatives.

The left sees the next couple years as their best opportunity to seize power permanently. I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that the commission starts down the road of arresting Republican office holders.
