Round Rock ISD police force arrests parents at their homes

The Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD) in Texas is using its own armed agents to arrest parents who speak out against the school board's policies

At issue in the next meeting was the district's mask mandate. For this, Clark, a retired Army captain, and other parents sought to speak, but instead, the school board "locked the majority of parents out of the room, preventing them from speaking." According to Rufo, while the parents were asking the school board to open the room for public comment on a major policy item, "school board president Amy Weir directed officers to remove Clark from school property." "As he was dragged out by two officers, Clark shouted to the audience: 'It's an open meeting! Shame on you. Communist! Communist! Let the public in!'" Rufo explained.

RRISD has it's own police force, Rufo said, explaining: "with a three-layer chain of command, patrol units, school resource officers, a detective, and a K-9 unit." And only a few days after Clark's removal from school board premises, the school district "sent police officers to the homes of both men [Story and Clark], arrested them, and put them in jail on charges of 'disorderly conduct with intent to disrupt a meeting.'"

Maybe the good citizens of Round Rock, and just about every other school district in this country, will now wake the f up and vote these Marxists out.

With the number of Round Rock threads I've seen in here, you would think they were more left wing than Austin itself. WTH.

Austin's leftism has spread outward. It's why RR, Georgetown, etc, are now infested with the CM lululemon white female who voted for Biden and drags their kids around in masks.

I might be mixed up with another school board election, but I thought a few seats were taken back by conservatives? If not, when is their next election?

Any RR locals know?

Edit to add: the good folks better hurry up and get involved.
I don't think you know me.

The "police" that belong to a school district should not have any jurisdiction to go to a parents home and arrest them. This is completely insane and unamerican.

Two of the seven board members are conservative. They are not up for re-election. The other 5 are up for re-election, so here's hoping some sanity will return. But there are way too many libs here, so who knows how this will go?

Is that what happened? I thought they were arrested at the school board meeting?

Besides, the ISD PD is all of 5 dudes.

Oh and if you want to know why, ask Williamson County. They used to provide it for our schools.

In the 1990s I worked with people who lived in RRISD. They were pretty middle of the road, leaning conservative, but they were concerned a faction of ultra-conservative bible beaters were taking over the school board. Looks like the pendulum has gone the other way.

Hopefully this is a wake up to the conservatives and folks on the fence like in VA

They do not have your child's best interest at heart and want them masked up and learning CRT all day long

From the link:

The school district's police department, in coordination with the sheriff, sent armed agents to arrest them in their homes.

Regardless its crazy that this even happened. Not sure if the ISD police did the arresting or the Sheriff. Story does not say unless I missed it.

School boards across the state have swung way left the last decade. Then they hire garbage leftist superintendents. Places that lean conservative have allowed liberals to take their schools over. Gotta take back control.

DOC is a violation seemingly worthy of a citation, not custodial arrest in most jurisdictions. I checked Austin PD policy and they cite for Class B misdemeanors such as this. This seems a rather punitive step.

Ok so they sent the sheriffs dept to go to their homes and arrest them. Still effing crazy and completely unamerican. Obey, comply or you will be silenced and arrested if you cross the line and make a scene.... opposition will not be tolerated. School boards gone wild to make sure they keep the parents in fear of arrest in case anyone gets any ideas... like speaking out at a supposedly open meeting.

This, moved to Cedar Park from South Austin in 2011, (originally from Corpus) and have literally watched them slowly truckle in. From Travis County and literally all over the globe. Williamson County has slowly turned blue. Have considered Liberty Hill, but the same thing is going on. Wife and I are considering moving to Abilene Wylie next year since I can work remote. Have a three year old and an 8 month old.

100 percent violation of the first amendment. Remember when you used to have to break the law to get arrested.
