Yeah, seems like you just now have to cross the Thought Police and they use their influence with other law enforcement to yank you from your home.

Rocket ship to hell we are on unless these idiots are not called out on this.

Perhaps not a better example of "F around and find out" than an armed school guard coming to my house and trying to arrest me.
The greatest argument ever made against democracy is a 5 minute conversation with the average voter.

To be fair if cops showed up at my door I wouldn't think they were there to arrest me, which I'm certain is what these folks thought. I do get your point though.

There is a little-known codicil in the RRISD constitution which gives the dean unlimited power to preserve order in time of campus emergency.

In the 1990s I worked with people who lived in RRISD. They were pretty middle of the road, leaning conservative, but they were concerned a faction of ultra-conservative bible beaters were taking over the school board. Looks like the pendulum has gone the other way.

That's not a concern that a non leftist would have. Conservative religious people don't have agenda items for schools that anybody should worry about. Their entire agenda is to simply NOT allow any leftist changes like fake girls in girls restrooms. The worst things they might push is allowing coaches to hold team prayers.

Two conservative seats were taken back. This isn't enough when the board and the superintendent are driving this district into the ground. The board wanted to censure the 2 conservatives for speaking up.

NM, obviously you are wrong. A warrant gives any peace officer the authority, anywhere they are found.

These guys probably technically broke the law, as it comes to disorderly conduct (assuming the officers didn't lie on the affidavit).

The real issue is the school administrators that pressed the police to file.

And the judge who signed off on the warrant.

If I were the sheriff I would have told the ISD police to get bent and not helped them execute the warrants.

The fact that they did not call or even visit and tell the "suspects" to just report, instead of showing up and arresting them is also disturbing. Treating concerned citizens like common criminals is beyond stupid.

We need to:

-Get rid of compulsory property tax support for government schools
-Encourage home schooling (which was the normal way to educate children for 150,000 years, or 6,000 years, depending on your belief)
-Remove ISD police districts

No. Take these school board members to court. Too many of these school security are not trained properly and could escalate rapidly out of control. Organize and vote these people out.

The leftist progressives and Democratic Party leadership would love this to escalate violently. Don't take the bait.

Indeed, the establishment wants violence so they can scrap the 2A. Dont give them what they want.

Some school districts have them instead of contracting with the local PD or Sheriff's office.

Their authority should be limited to district property.

They provide security at campuses.

Most larger districts have their own forces and it is a great thing for the most part in my opinion. They do far more than just provide security but it does allow them to not have to contract with Sheriffs or Constable offices. In North Houston; Spring, Conroe, Klein and Cy Fair all have their own. This allows many to have armed officers at all middle schools and multiple officers at High schools which I like the idea of my schools being protected

Some school districts have them instead of contracting with the local PD or Sheriff's office.

Their authority should be limited to district property.
Generally ISD police only have authority on ISD property / school grounds, their jurisdiction. Some are a sub-part of other agencies, such as the local PD or SO.

Regardless, they can execute a warrant for something that originated in their jurisdiction. Usually will call a local agency for support, as they did here.

Not pertinent here but, in Texas, officers also have authority to act for specific crimes (ie. felonies).

There is video of both. It's not just because they spoke up. They were over the top. And I'm pretty sure one of them intended to get arrested.

No way the sheriffs should've showed up at their house though. They arrested them in front of their kids after hours so they'd have to sit a night in jail. This was 100% vindictive, coming straight from the board and superintendent. Heads need to roll but nothing will happen.

This also happened a couple months ago.

Not until next November. Lots of damage can be done in a year. Now that the mask issue is largely quiet (they are required and over half of students and staff don't wear them, and everybody looks the other way), the board meetings can get back important stuff. Like Equity.
Edit: sorry, didn't see response at 3:15.
