Round Rocks crazy.
Yeah, seems like you just now have to cross the Thought Police and they use their influence with other law enforcement to yank you from your home.IslanderAg04 said:

Oh it's quite obvious how this is going to go.FormerSip said:
Two of the seven board members are conservative. They are not up for re-election. The other 5 are up for re-election, so here's hoping some sanity will return. But there are way too many libs here, so who knows how this will go?

The tough thing about city (and I'm pretty sure school board) elections, most people don't know who the democrats/crazy liberals are.

In the 1990s I worked with people who lived in RRISD. They were pretty middle of the road, leaning conservative, but they were concerned a faction of ultra-conservative bible beaters were taking over the school board. Looks like the pendulum has gone the other way.

Austin's leftism has spread outward. It's why RR, Georgetown, etc, are now infested with the CM lululemon white female who voted for Biden and drags their kids around in masks.
This, moved to Cedar Park from South Austin in 2011, (originally from Corpus) and have literally watched them slowly truckle in. From Travis County and literally all over the globe. Williamson County has slowly turned blue. Have considered Liberty Hill, but the same thing is going on. Wife and I are considering moving to Abilene Wylie next year since I can work remote. Have a three year old and an 8 month old.

Two conservative seats were taken back. This isn't enough when the board and the superintendent are driving this district into the ground. The board wanted to censure the 2 conservatives for speaking up.

I would have laughed at them. They have no authority to arrest citizens at their homes.

No. Take these school board members to court. Too many of these school security are not trained properly and could escalate rapidly out of control. Organize and vote these people out.Philip J Fry said:

The leftist progressives and Democratic Party leadership would love this to escalate violently. Don't take the bait.
Some school districts have them instead of contracting with the local PD or Sheriff's office.DrEvazanPhD said:

Move to College Station and help keep the area red.

They provide security at campuses.
Generally ISD police only have authority on ISD property / school grounds, their jurisdiction. Some are a sub-part of other agencies, such as the local PD or SO.Rapier108 said:Some school districts have them instead of contracting with the local PD or Sheriff's office.DrEvazanPhD said:

Their authority should be limited to district property.
