To elaborate on my earlier post, I wonder if it's good that they got more copies of the portion pertaining to self defense because it means they're actually considering that. I'm a layman, but a lawyer, but it tells me that they're not being overtly political about their decision as a jury.

I disagree, asking for a specific section obviously means that's what they are discussing, if you're the defense you have to be happy they are focusing on tbe self defense instructions, that's your whole case.
