The only option at this point it to go in balls to the wall and get as many people out as possible before 8/31 but we're not even doing that.

We would need tens if not hundreds of thousands of troops deployed to a mountainous backwater the size of Texas in less than a week, so probably not. Our people there are in a perilous position where they're basically surrounded, outnumbered, and outgunned. We can't move the number of people and the necessary equipment we would need to into the country to gain any kind of control in time.

As someone else said, we gave them the leverage stick and they beat the **** out of us with it to the point we're so weak we can't take it back.
