As soon as we are done getting out; I would tell the Taliban that we are going to be aerially demo-ing assets like MRAPs and uparmored HMMWVs.

Yes. But it wasn't reported we had a CIA nest there with a picture of the station chiefCaptain Positivity said:Yukon Cornelius said:

We've been negotiating with the Taliban in Doha. That's been very well reported.

Yes. Helos operate at low altitude making those runs all over. Not ideal but less problematic than big aircraft that can't maneuver and are in takeoff/landing phases.
I was channel surfing this morning to see which (if any) cable networks had reporters on the ground in Kabul.digital_ag said:TChaney said:"The last flight out of the embassy in Afghanistan carrying out the flag" via @rArmyReddit https://t.co/doa7pUkSGB pic.twitter.com/NhAQOMUo75

I find this picture incredibly powerful. The facial expression, the flag wrapped up, the haste with which it was taken (and thus fuzzy) all perfectly reflects how poorly this was planned and executed.

where is the photo this mentions? Why post a screenshot of a tweet?
This morning, the President and Vice President met with their national security team and senior officials to hear updates on the draw down of our civilian personnel in Afghanistan, evacuations of SIV applicants and other Afghan allies, and the ongoing security situation in Kabul. pic.twitter.com/U7IpK3Hyj8

CIA and Doha Station are separate feeds. Not sure I'm buying this one.

Apparently the United States personnel in charge of operations in Afghanistan personally met with the Taliban there. It's not exactly a secret we have people in Qatar. It is where all the meetings with the Taliban have taken place over the last few years. Of course if we are meeting someone somewhere, we are going to have intelligence apparatus is in place in that location. What was unclear based on that tweet was whether he was actually talking to secret CIA or just state department people/military who were in Doha meeting lTaliban. More than likely that's the latter.
I sincerely doubt the President of the United States is actually speaking directly to a CIA station chief in any meeting.

Weight will be a factor in taking off. Hi pressure altitudes with surrounding mountains. It's no joke getting in and out of there. May not be able to keep packing people in as a result.
Under the current circumstances...I sincerely don't.Captain Positivity said:
