Undoubtedly we trained them. I wouldn't be surprised if I (or another American soldier) had played volleyball/soccer/ultimate frisbee with guys that are turning up in these pictures.

Al Jazeera reports Saudi embassy have successfully evacuated and are out f the country.

Just to reiterate again that it is not just the US or western countries trying to get out. Taliban does not want to risk causing international incident at this point. I'm hoping that everyone already at the airport will be able to get out. I don't think the Taliban wants to risk a massive response from the air on the part of the US and allies. Logically, they should not, but we will see. Allegedly there was an agreement made a while back that Turkey would run airport operations which may help in refugees being allowed to leave. We will see if that holds up.

Are all of our planes coming in and out trackable like this? Or only the ones designated for civilians?

Based off the number of planes I've seen in pictures, not all planes are showing up. Also in certain parts of Afghanistan the planes disappear from tracking. The USAF plane I was referring to is no longer visible as it entered the area between Kandahar and Kabul where planes have disappeared I've noticed.

ADS-B Exchange may have more data because they don't comply with block requests. That said, military doesn't require ADS-B out, so they can turn that off and ground stations won't pick anything up. Local radar coverage is usually limited to Mode C transponders at a minimum, and those can be turned off easily. Would expect any military aircraft to turn them off in this situation.

Only 1 runway at Kabul. Bag ram isn't too far. Should have secured that for military and diplomats and left Kabul for civilians. That's where poor planning effed us big time

I thought I read that one of the problems with Vietnam was that there wasn't enough capacity and they had airplanes trying to take off way over gross because so many people needed help. Even with that we left behind tons of people who needed help. This amount of capacity is a hell of an admission on the magnitude of the problem. I'm not even sure where you park all these planes on the ramp in Kabul. This is about to be a huge humanitarian crisis.

ADS-B Exchange is radio silent. Not a single aircraft shown.

I know people who posted a few days ago, who said the traffic was incredible.

I suspect it is being blocked. Not sure I blame them.
